Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I've never noticed Coach K lunge scream or shake a finger in a player's face.
I'm not saying I care one way or the other about a coach's style, as long as he doesn't cross a line like Bob Knight repeatedly did. Basically don't assault anybody, that should go for anybody other than drill instructors and those training martial arts, boxing, etc.
He has had his moments if I recall correctly. Not knight level by any means.
I don't know about you guys but I'm very proud of WC for not taking the bait laid out for him
JRT1812, we've all had our moments. I recall Dean Smith wouldn't let go of the Clemson HC's hand after a game. The Clemson coach was trying to pull away while Smith held him with one hand and shook his fist at him with his free hand. That of course was very atypical, but Dean was obviously quite upset.
I know Coach K gets all the love these days, and rightly so. But man, Dean Smith was some kind of basketball coach. Legendary, larger than life.
Yep! No need for it and keeps a good thread going......glad to see it.
I hear ya wc bro. Maybe Izzo has more moments than Coach K... I have no idea. Just saying I thought it was fine and would be happy if my son had the opportunity to play for either. Also, that I disagree with other outlets saying it was uncalled for.
MML. Bait? Arent we all a school of fish
AnotherDawg. Dean Smith was also a truly great man.
Depends on what school you're in.....
'Ello, my name's Bruce!
@ghostofuga1 take shark pic down. Everybody is scared and not posting
Per your wish...........
I have read that the legendary John Wooden would sit, apparently quietly, with his rolled up program in his hands. He would, however, be quite "strong" in his language. Good enough for Wooden, good enough for me.
donm, Wooden apparently never raised his voice in games. If he said ''goodness gracious sakes alive'' it in a stern voice players knew he was furious and they'd better not repeat whatever infraction led to JW's maniacal outburst.
