- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Nothing is set on defensive side of the ball. Maybe one player not named in your post. Good...yes? Will they be Dawgs? We’ll see.
@SoFL_Dawg does this have anything to do with coaching staff flux on defense? Or is CU just winning head to head
Good question not entirely sure. Right now, imo, we’re just losing head to head. It’s no one’s fault (as much as CTS will be blamed). He doesn’t have much of a player success story to sell right now. LB, OL, DB, RB are starting to recruit themselves. WR and DL we need to see some next level, recent success. TE is being sold exclusively on potential and there is a wait and see aspect to both primary targets we’re pursuing.
That said, depth charts certainly look more favorable at CU. Bresee’s camp in particular had concerns about staff continuity but those concerns were said to be put to rest last he and his family came in a month or so ago.
Murphy we’re just getting beat. I had been hinting we were behind CU and AU in recents weeks. That article posted above confirms that. Hiding behind Academics sounds better than, “I just like them better”, especially with mom being an alum.
Bottom line we knew CU would dominate the offseason. Did I see them landing 5 of the top 10 players for 20, no. If it were over today, good chance they’d do just that.
Dabo is notorious for his negative recruiting behind the scenes, but He’s done a great job selling the family feel, and it’s worked for them. “If you shut it down, we’ll shut it down”. That’s not our way, and truthfully some kids and more importantly their families are going to gravitate towards that philosophy.
We just need to get some on campus and August 31st can’t get here soon enough to change momentum. We know our staff prepare guys who aren’t elite, physically/mentally for the next level. Look no further than recent combine performances. Soon, we’ll finally be able to take elite athletes and pair them with physically/mentally rigors of our program to shine for NFL draft. We’re not there yet.
Haven't you heard, we are a national brand now. No need to worry about in-state kids.
I see the point you’re trying to make but when your state is the top 3 in the country for talent yes you need to worry about in-state kids.
Are we in the mix with Kelee Ringo?
@NC_Dawg Not so much at this time. Havnt been crossed off but it seems his feelings were closer to a visit high. (If he comes back, watch out but it looks like TX at this time)
I mean if you look at it, it's not like Georgia is just letting every in-state kid get away. We all just wish we could lock down Murphy. By state rank, UGA has the following commits or prospects we're in heavy for:
#1 Gilbert, #3 B. Jones, #6 Ratledge, #11 Burroughs, #12 Z. Walker, #18 Ojulari, #21 Whitehead #22 Stackhouse, #29 J. Robinson
Murphy would me a miss, no doubt, but some of ya'll are acting like the door is wide open. Lock in Gilbert and you've got 5 of the top 12 players in Georgia and 8 of the top 25 if staff wants them on campus. Other than Murphy, find me a guy high on the board that staff really wants and can't get. You won't find one. This isn't 2018, where the top 13 guys in-state were Top 100 overall. UGA got 7 of those guys, FWIW.
Jaheim Bell- Valdosta. GA
Tons of offers but none from UGA yet. Read the (not so) fine print of his top 10...
Killed it at the Opening recently. @SoFL_Dawg and @CZCashvilleDawg y'all can go ahead and stop me from getting my hopes up if you feel necessary.
@VALDOSTADAWG I saw that top 10 tweet awhile back, has some big names in there.
My thoughts on why no UGA offer.
Listed as the 34th best Ath, bigger targets ? ( Although I can see his rank changing though with that showing.)
4.7 , 40 speed (listed on 247) which would put him in at the TE. 203 weight has him roughly 30-40 lbs behind the TE targets we are looking at.
Also took a player in this “category” last cycle, one they probably project has more upside, in Tongue.

Though I agree keeping in-state pipelines is a priority as the lifeblood of a program. You always have to have the homegrown kid card in your back pocket.
@CZCashvilleDawg
I thought I saw the other day where he clocked a 4.5 at the Opening? I could be wrong.
Could of happened, and 247 just hasn’t updated. If that’s the case, I’d guess the staff has their eyes on guys they perceive to be more natural at the WR position. (Or maybe an offer comes soon, if he camps at UGA over the summer ?)
Clemson is a real threat for Bowman. Florida is in good shape with him right now.
Does UGA have a engineering program? Taking about how Murphy views AUB and CLEM.
