Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

My b for any confusion. I thought this was the post where I mentioned flipping him from Oregon. I just always think of the name Taylor bcuz of Tae.
Might be a little off topic, but if kelee ever ended up playing the star position, he would be Ringo Starr. Seems more of a true corner, but a man can hope for nickname’s sake. Would be one of the best
A+ first post
I was so proud when I thought of that, your comment put a smile on my face
Going through 247 player rankings. At # 285 overall C.J. Dixon is listed as 50/50. UGA/UF battle. Are we taking 2 QBs this cycle? Or just love for ga kid?
Dixon is a guy Georgia was recruiting more during his junior season. I don’t think UGA will be envolved with any other quarterbacks unless Carson Beck decomitts or has a terrible injury.
What player would be a vocal “pied piper” for this class? More than his presence alone, more of a Richie for his class
(Swift For instance would not be for his class since he if low-profile)
This isn’t mean to “tip their hand” just a for instance
Sherman and Beck
Are there any uncommitted (or non public commits) that would serve this roll more effectively?
From what I can tell they’re both doing a great job. Beck was reaching out to Gilbert the day he went public.
Sherman just went public and the scuttlebut was he was already working it.
Not sure how they could be more effective 7 months from ESD
Not meaning to be critical, I’m sure they’d are doing great. Just thinking that some players have a more magnetic personality that can draw others stronger.
Maybe those guys are the ones, was just kicking around the idea and wanted to see feedback.
Mekhail Sherman will more than likely be that pied piper but Carson Beck and Akinola Ogunbiyi have been working it pretty hard.
With Sherman from DMV, Beck from Florida and Oki (Ogunbiyi) from Texas, Jeff Sentell's recruiting weather map indicates Star-shine is spreading across the country! All three have been vocal and will hopefully continue to do so. Can't wait for the southwest to clear up (Ringo and Washington)! Awesome time to be a Dawg!
I think that Sherman especially is very effective. He seems to have strong ties to Milton and Ringo. The big difference between him (or anyone come to that) and Richie is twofold. Firstly the geographic spread of the 2020 class is much wider than the 2017 which involved a lot of Ga recruits and the video commitments don't seem to happen as much which means that the visibility of Sherman's involvement is not as apparent.
(I am bumping this so that folks can find the podcast easily ^ ^. I have read everything, posted re: Julian Fleming, since the above.) Since my recruiting rep is one of living it down, rather than up, I'll offer these remarks FWIW.
I think the fact is Fleming is all Dawg. Ohio state is a distance second. No one really close thereafter. Here goes. He said top academics is the necessary component. Can drop Clemson and Alabama. His remarks about Penn state clearly indicate that PSU is on the list for the locals - he said as much. PSU is gone in spite of his gf going there. That leaves UGA and Ohio state. When asked about coaches he was very clear to qualify that he was talking about non-recruiting relationship. In that context, he mentioned Coach Hartline of tOSux. The other mention of coaches was Sweeney and Scott in which he said he appreciated their "taking the time to visit." We know what that means. Plus Clemson is already out.
On last year's visit, he said his mother was all DAWG (my words). That visit was the next day after visiting Bammer. This interview was right after his OV with Bammer. No mention of Bammer in this interview! Plus Bammer is already out.
The interviewers didn't mention tOSux, weirdly, so that leaves them in, but no other mention of them, either. Fleming said he would major in communications and/or business - UGA friendly there. He knew in April (the date of this interview) when his OV to UGA was scheduled, and hasn't scheduled any others since. Fleming scheduled his commitment on the same date as his OV (!). UGA has a strong track program. Couldn't hurt even if he doesn't continue with his long-jump efforts.
Julian Fleming is Dawg. Now, if that is the case, the there are repercussions in the class as has been mentioned. Oh. Don't understand why moving his OV to the scavenger w/e is better than keeping it where it is. My sense is that he wanted to make the announcement out of town so he would't have to deal with the PSU locals. Carry on.
