Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Really, really weird take. Bama won titles in 2011 and 2012, which in your analogy would be 2019 and 2020 for us. Honestly, Roquan and Atkins were the players we missed the most from 2017, and it’s not really close. We missed Chubb and Michel mostly for leadership reasons, although I’m sure they would’ve helped otherwise as well. We were still the number 3 team in offensive efficiency last year.
As for the Texas game, games are games man. Need I remind you that you guys were looking pretty shaky early in the year almost losing to A&M and Syracuse. There are reasons for that, but we aren’t using excuses right? You have to look at stuff holistically, and frankly we weren’t far last year. The main things holding us back on the field were LB play and DL not helping them out.
@umooner , I think another big miss for us was John Atkins. That guy helped keep Roquan clean. Until Davis got in there last year, we didn’t have a comparable D-lineman.
For sure...reread my post my friend.
🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. That’ll teach me to pay better attention!
@clemtiger why did you drop your @a_rattler and @innercity accounts and start posting as a Clemson fan? Just curious.....
There is no excuse, our Dawgs have played great but blew big leads in the biggest games. The good part is CKS and staff have learned from the experience, and will have UGA back in the mix every year.
The 2 words are often used interchangeably but ''excuse'' of course can also be ''making an excuse'', whereas making a reason isn't really in the dialect.

I do not disagree with any of this. I do not think UGA played up to their standard for many reasons (or excuses if you will), but I also think Texas played out and it would of been difficult for anyone to of beaten them that day. It will be very interesting to see how they fair this upcoming season. I'd wager they should be pretty dang good.
