Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Stafford and Beer
Connor's article today reminded me of the infamous Matt Stafford keg photos and the "outrage" it generated. I didn't have a problem with it then and as long as the participants are of legal age and not driving, I wouldn't have a problem with it now.
Fromm's vice seems to be fishing but if pictures leaked of him doing jagermeister shots, would we react the same way?

I could careless about college kids drinking (no matter the age). As you said, as long as they aren't driving.
I think Matt enjoyed his time in Athens as QB1
Honestly, age doesn't bother me a lot either, I had a fake ID when I was in Athens. Though I do think football players need to understand that their actions are more visible and they represent the university. Arrests for silly things like underage drinking can still impact the team.
Just my opinion, but if you attend UGA and don't participate in drinking festivities, you aren't doing it right. But like my dad told me the day he dropped me off in Athens for freshman orientation, "its all about moderation". I tried to listen...
Matt definitely learned how to drink somebody beer at uga
Lol, yep, had a very similar talk with my Dad. When it comes to girls, he also said to "be careful" which in retrospect could have multiple interpretations.
Rodgers on the other hand looks like he never touched a natty at cal
Yup, my dad was a little more straight forward. "Use protection bud". Guy never beat around the bush, no pun intended hahaha.
Did anyone actually go to The University of Georgia and not drink?
What?
I am just happy to see he is having a beer or two. Dude needs a beer after the year his family had
Drinking age was 18 when we were there and it is hard to imagine what it would be like otherwise. We would also jump from the curb to a box car to a deck at Tyrones OC. Thereby snuck in the side door and saw newby bands like REM for free.
The only place that still had the drinking age at 18 when I was in college was Louisiana. Took a road trip to Nawlins my freshman year, became acquainted with the “Hand Grenade”.
If memory serves me correctly the kegger pic was taken at The Talladega 500.
One of the wildest times I've had was camping out on Talladega's infield the night before the 500. 2 people in separate incidences passed out, fell in front of traffic and got run over in a couple of hours time.
Rough weekend for them two with the emphasis on end.
