- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I like the point ihateusernames makes in that we pay attention to recruiting much more than whether juniors go pro, but the later can have a huge impact, like it did in 2017.
That's a lot of misses to get to Smith was my main point
Welp guys...this is getting interesting. Arian Smith is a take and we don’t expect an offensive player to be processed. Looks like 4 WRs as he’s being recruited as a WR exclusively.
Yep, so...6 pass catchers in a class appears to be happening.
Tongue moving to TE maybe? Probably only taking one TE if so. I really have no insight. Just taking a wild guess.
Haven’t heard that but doubtful. Think he gets at least a year at WR. Would love to be in the war room right now to hear how they’re deciding and moving forward.
Thanks for the info. I just watched the highlights on Smith and dang that guy is fast. Maybe trying to fill the hole left by Hardman. Those small speedsters are a mismatch in the slot.
WR: Holloman/Cager/Simmons/D Rob
TE: Wolf/Woerner
thats 6 guys needing to be replaced
DL is also going to need atleast 6. There are 6 seniors and 2 juniors who could declare.
& we need one true OLB (Donnell Harris)
I see both Sherman & Sewell as hybrid LBs (which Kirby prefers)
Flowe is a true ILB
Tae Crowder & Monty Rice potentially going pro and the likely hood that 1 of the 3 2019 ILBs transfers at somepoint (cant recruit 3 in the same class if only 2 can start) I think we take 2 ILBs in this class (Sherman plus Flowe/Sewell/Whitehead)
So I think we take the following
QB: 1
RB: 2
WR: 4
TE: 2
OL: 5
DL: 6
LB: 3
DB: 3
K: 1
27 total.
not all of these have to be freshman 2020 recruits. some will probably be filled by transfer portal
No way we take 27
@dgd829 doubt we take 3 LB’s. Seems like it’ll be Sherman and likely Sewell, and then a guy like Donnell Harris, if he indeed reclassifies, to be a hybrid OLB/DE.
I would swap positions around a little and add one player to the list.
DRob is technically a junior this year as far as eligibility is concerned. Played as a True Fresh at Cal, redshirted his second year with injury, transferred and got minimal playing time last year. This is only his 3rd year playing.
It is important to add that Arian Smith has the potential to be a true star. This isn’t something to be disappointed in. Ceiling is higher than Wren imo. Could end up being the best WR of the 3 committed.
That would be 3 LBs if I understand you correctly. And that would be the 3 LBs that I was projecting.
@dgd829 oh, my bad. I thought you were saying we’d take Flowe, Sewell and Sherman, and then include Harris as one of the 6 DL
