Who is the WR that's not physical enough to get on the field
Bush?
It’s Bush. Guy is still a beanpole
whos next to commit?
Demetrius Robertson in the past, I’m not certain if that still is the current one though.
I thought in the past Bush was physical. I could be wrong though.
The "clout" thing lead me to believe you had meant that other coaches could tell him whatever and he'd be lead astray. I think the best place for him would be Bama. They have a better usage of putting TEs high in the draft. Cant remember the last Clemson guy. Clemson airs the ball a bit more to the outside and uses TEs to block alot (similar to UGA but UGA passes inside or comebacks more). Tennessee is the unknown. The thing that Ive noticed Pruitt, Smart, Dabo, and Saban all have rings and clout. But I agree UGA probably wouldn't optimize his skill set like Bama (track record), Tenn (limited options), but I think is more even with Clemson.
@Thelordjohnson 16 team featured Jordan Leggett and he was very much a flex and mismatch nightmare. Bama does have the track record for the draft but it’s not because they necessarily used the TE a lot. Howard broke out in big games not throughout the season so much. They did feature Smith more though. Idk what’s going to happen with his recruitment but unless we win it all and he pushes his commitment back I don’t think he ends up at UGA.
Honestly I would rather have Washington. Gilbert is an in state kid and it would be great to have him but I think Washington will be the better football player. Gilbert is a great athlete but that does not always translate to great football player. We need a TE not a possession receiver who happens to line up at TE. If Gilbert was not from GA would we, the fanbase, care as much about him?

Was just about to say this, and the answer is a big No. Same reason Tank got as much love, and i get it and am guilty of it to. Keep the GA kids home, however to win a Natty, we had to become a National program. The way Kirby is building this thing, its about taking the best he can get, and who they project will fully buy in.
Back to commit in 2020 - SVP-G
Pretty sure we'll be thanking Milton later for a Ricks commitment.
BJ about UGA right now....
With an August 16th commit date – “My brother told me that Brenton Cox left, so there are looking more outside linebackers,” Ojulari told Dawgs247. ”I just actually talked to Coach Lanning and I am going to call them tonight too. I talked to Coach McGee today too.”

Agreed 100%. Another factor to consider is that as we strengthen the DL with a maturing Davis, T Walker, Burch/Z Walker, Carter, Norton, Logue and others plus a player like Hunter (hopefully) our OLB will be increasingly required to contain the plays inside as well as pass rush. Hence the need for the bigger but still athletic OLB (SDE/OLB v WDE type).
Jaden is at Western Kentucky now
I'm sorry but Gilbert is not a SEC WR. He does not have the speed and there is a world of difference between HS CB and SEC CB. He can look good on film and do well most games based on size alone but you have to have all the tools week in week out in the SEC/Playoffs. Touching on the BJ O discussion, he can look good in HS also but if you are going up against the Thomas' and Wilsons of this world you need size as well as speed while Gilbert needs speed as well as size.
He means 21 Dt
Long way to go there
@BrooklynDawg So did our staff lie to Webb since we recruited him as a WR and then placed him as a DB? No, these kids are athletes and when practice starts against top tier talent it’s easier to evaluate and sell where they are a better fit if a position change is determined. I don’t think coaches just “stick” someone without basis and player agreement . I’m sure the idea was WR until team depth at DB was impacted. Outside person looking in could say we lied to him but we all know that’s not true.
Amen Brother. Not living in GA has made me pretty immune to the GA bias, this forum definitely leans towards the GA boys... Reading Tank is better than Evans or Milton made my head spin
Arik Gilbert is on Jeff Sentell’s top ten recruits list and has been forever. So are both Darnell Washington and Theo Johnson. I would rather have a happy Darnell Washington and Theo Johnson over either one and an unhappy Arik Gilbert.
From what I have read, I don’t know enough to do my own evaluations. The best place talent wise for Arik Gilbert is at DE. The next best place is TE. I am sure that on a Conference USA team he would be able to play WR and start all four years. I think in the SEC he needs to play TE or DE. A question does Arik Gilbert have enough speed to get separation on Nolan Smith, Quay Walker, Jermaine Johnson, Nakobe Dean, Noah Sewell or Mekhail Sherman. I also worry if he does not want to listen to where his best playing opportunity is from the coaches will he listen to other things the coaches say to him.
This is why we stay on topic
