Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I’m going to agree with @DawgTime92 a loss is a loss. Not sure if the comment about owning the loss was directed at me but, if it was, it shouldn’t be. I call a loss a loss when it happens. If staff invests resources on a recruit, regardless of location, and we project him in the class based on the info and we miss, imo it’s a miss/loss. Raym was a loss but his commitment wasn’t as important as a Bresee which was also a loss. Hopefully that makes sense. Don’t confuse no big deal with saying it wasn’t a loss. For example, Raym wasn’t a big deal. Murphy is only a big deal if we miss on Burch, etc. Both=loss.
That said, it’s easy to see that expectations are getting a bit out of hand. Top 150 players in the nation are considering UGA. We will lose many of these battles. Sharing updates should be a fun experience as I’m just trying to keep up with current events and share what I believe/think I know with the board; maybe sharing all the twists and turns is starting to get to some and we’re taking this too seriously. It’s not that serious guys, really. If it makes more sense to just share when something is evident (Milton & UGA), we can go that route too. What I’m saying is, this isn’t as fun as it used to be based on reactions of a few grown ass men/women taking this too seriously.
Lastly, we still feel UGA has the best chance with SVP. Yes, he is going to be a father. Yes, it’s a possibility that changes things in the future. Yes, his family is still moving to Atlanta. Yes, Pittman is still the best in the biz. Either way it’ll all work out.
I’ve done well for myself not living and dying by the decisions of teenage men...
just a life goal I guess... still fun to see the outcome
Ya'll best stop before SoFL_Dawg stops sprinkling sugar....
I’d rather have a 50% success rate with 25 Top 100 prospects than a 100% success rate with 25 players outside the Top 100.
I think Kirby is getting much more than half of the top 100 prospects targeted over the last 3 years, maybe 70% guessing here, and that’s About as good as it gets.
@SoFL_Dawg I can see how it doesn’t seem fun when things get super serious and agree there. For some of the people that take a “loss” too serious whatever definition you use. Look at it this way it’s like a thriller movie are they going to pick UGA or not? If they don’t its like the hero dies in the end. Either way pop in the next movie. We’re not going to get everyone but if CKS and staff hasn’t done anything they’ve proved they’re going to get players. I don’t see us ever not having a top 5 class and more than likely a top 3. Will we ever have consecutive runs as number 1? Maybe, but if not you can win nattys with consistent top 5 classes.
Heard the very same thing from people who were afraid to part with Richt 🙄
It feels like we are approaching a month without a commitment.
You must be confusing Scott with Pittman. I’ll take this bet ~ no way Scott pulls this off
Breese, Murphy, Hinton and Eboigbe
@superblackeagle July 29th will be 👌
@Driverfan All in on Sewell with a back up option in Donell Harris and (i know, its not happening but) BJ Ojulari.
@CZCashvilleDawg all this fire Tray Scott stuff is getting old. Now another is joining their cause.
May be time to give up and let things fall where they fall.
Flowe to Clemson stinks lol. I knew if we didn’t get Flowe, he’d be Clemson or Bama bound. As opposed to Sewell going to Oregon. Flowe will be a first round draft pick.
Cannot recall any top NFL linebackers from Clemson lately in case Flowe hasn’t noticed. For that matter, outside of a couple of recievers and Watson if healthy, Clemson players seem to underperform expectations. Kirby’s UGA players, on the other hand are dominating at NFL level. Iron sharpens Iron. ACC dulls blades.
