Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Well I have Florida going 5 and 7 losing to Miami in Orlando,, Kentucky in Lexington, Missouri in Columbia MO, South Carolina in Columbia SC, GA, LSU in Baton Rouge, LA and Auburn at home. They beat UT Martin, Tennessee, Towson, Vanderbilt and Florida State all at home.
Today: Carter, Burch, Brinson, Stackhouse, Walker. Many tomorrows from now could have Dexter replacing 1 of the GA boys. It will be a difficult pull. Stack and Walker would have to continue to show interests in other schools and not have great senior years, fu will have to drop some games, and Dexter has to continue to take Fountain’s calls. I think Gervon receiving 5 star recognition only makes this harder...he’s the king in gainesville right now and being treated as such. He’d be the 7th or 8th ranked player here this class.
My calendar for this week.
Monday - Milton Monday (kudos to @HughDawg)
Tuesday - Finish the wall. (Mardi Gras is Pancake day in UK so this one's for Sam Pittman)
Wednesday - Movie night - Watch Lord of the Ringo video.
Thursday - August #1 - Brunch with Burch
Friday - Get a pair of bookends (TE) for trophy cabinet.
Saturday - Finish casting Fast and Furious 2020 with Smith and Sewell.
Sunday - Relax with a couple of beers, grill out and flip a couple of Dawgs.
You don’t see Cowan sliding in anywhere into this equation?
So I'm somewhat disappointed in your lackadaisical approach to next Sunday.
You need to finish stronger.
How about on Sunday - relax with a couple of beers, grill out and flip "just one gator"
Don't be an underachiever @Denmen185
He’s been CTS choice for a long time, since 8th grade. There’s no ignoring the fact that he hasn’t performed well recently. My official answer is I don’t know.
What I do know is staff will pursue the best players at every position regardless of geographical location. Enter Dexter as 3T. Stackhouse hasn’t performed well recently and has entertained a few suitors but staff really likes him and he’s home grown. If Cowan could, I think he would’ve chose us several weeks ago. As of now, just speculating, I think Stackhouse would need to decommit on his own (no longer believe he’ll be processed because of losing others) and it would have to look very grim on landing Dexter. I think Cowan then gets the nod (so third in line).
The question on Cowan, who had one of the worst opening performances in recent memory, is where does he push the two deep in the first 18 months? At 3T he’ll battle Travon Walker, Jalen Carter, Bill Norton, and Z. Logue (not including upperclassmen). He first has to separate from his own class. I no longer believe he displays the foot speed and bend to be an edge player and I think Burch and Walker would easily separate from him in that capacity. He’s gotta show something early his senior year. Also, if OSU continues their pursuit and prioritizes him, do you wait on UGA when another tier 1 program wants you? Logic says, you don’t wait.
Would y’all rather have Theo/Darnell or Arik/ Large as our tight end class this year🧐
Can somebody tell me where large came from, and why we should be so excited about him? Hadn’t even heard of him until recently and now apparently Hartley is high on him. I feel like I missed something.
For me, it’s Theo and Darnell. Probably want Arik more than any of them, but not knowing who this Large kid is tipped the scales.
Arik and Darnell. Hopefully if we can grab both, Theo ends up in Pennsylvania. Keep the entirety of the crazy TE class out of the rest of the SEC
Theo/Darnell every day of the week
Speed/Size is unmatched
I look at it like this. All 3-4 are elite TEs. I know it’s not the best thing to do but I try to imagine where they’ll land if they don’t go to UGA. I’d rather Arik go Tenn than DW going to Alabama. Where as, Theo will prob go to PSU.
Cam Large is more of a traditional TE and not a flex, not to say he cant catch though.
We have been in on him for awhile now and i believe he was at Gday and Scavenger Hunt.
Between the comments from @ilovemaya about his interaction with Washington’s family yesterday in Athens and Washington’s own Insta story pictures, feels like spending this weekend with this core may have a pretty profound impact on his thought process. Seems like a number of this weekend’s attendees similarly came away with a different sense of what it would be like to be part of this team/university vs what their college list may have looked like just a few days earlier.
From everything i’ve read/seen, Ringo in particular looks and feels like a silent commit who is actively working to get some of these other guys into the fold (Washington & Evans specifically)
@SoFlaDAWG wasn’t kidding when he said this class could be EPIC (!)
You should be excited about him, because otherwise you would be disappointed about not landing 2 top 5 TE’s, which would be kind of ridiculous. Also, we need a larger TE...we’re not entitled to Washington.
I mean, I know you’re right. And maybe my post shouldn’t be taken literally. Whoever we get I’m sure I’ll be excited about, I’m just trying to get some info on a process that seems to have a lot of moving parts.
