You must be thinking he has a dominate year then. Im all for that then but that is what it will take for a. 1 and done scenarios here
I think we need to recruit at least one third of the class that is willing to be developed over a 3-5year period and understand it might actually help their chances of reaching the NFL. That is really what Clemson is doing, or had been doing, selling on the long haul vs short term. Roquan didn’t become the Roquan we know until the end of year two. Kyler Murray, Mitch Trubisky Number 1 picks who didn’t play until year 3-4. If BJ is willing to add weight and wait a couple years then take him. If not, then no.
AAis still only 225? He looked bigger in some videos I’ve seen of him.
Murray played and started his Freshman year. Had one of the most prolific careers for a HS kid (44-0) down here in Texas. Trubisky redshirted and then showed promise in all 10 games he played his RFR year. This day and age you dont see too many guys that had high ratings like those two waiting til year 3. Heck I couldn't name anyone recently. Clemson doesnt sell long term either. They put guys in right away if the talent speaks for itself. Every good player has started instantly since Dabo arrived minus Xavier Thomas (DLine was deep). He also preaches if guys cant play and CLEM recruited them they failed the kid.
At what positions is Clemson doing that? When you're recruiting and competing on a high level, you need players that can play sooner rather than later. They consistently have young standout players
@BarkingDawg I stand corrected. Bama is the only school Ive seen implementing the wait process. Usually at OL, RB, and QB.
Yep about 225
Vic Beasley and Grady Jarrett come to mind but they weren’t rated high. Ratings were wrong. Point being, some of these guys are rated high because of potential but some don’t seem to realize it. The school needs to be on same page as recruit. I think AA in year 4 can be awesome. Like Natrez was the starter year one and Roquan really came on as leader in year three.
I hope you're right, because that would mean he had an AA year rushing the passer and we would likely be National Champions.
Why are S&C not adding good weight on him?
They are... It won't stick, it's tough for some guys to put on weight, just the way it is. I guarantee you that the staff and Adam are both trying hard to do so.
Wish I had that problem.
Based on what?
NoahSewellFanClub I hope they can get it figured out. I really like AA and his game
He’s got a defined role as a ST and pash rush specialist. He’s not going anywhere.
Might still be a year away from being a 3 down player but good news is we “might” get him for a 4th year.
