- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.
National Rum Day
Through sheer coincidence we get to celebrate National Rum Day and be patriotic at the same time.
"In 1764, the British Crown placed a tax on sugar, molasses and rum on the American colonies. This tax was called The Sugar Act of 1764. It was instrumental in the unrest that finally became the American Revolution." Without rum and the Sugar Act, we might still be drinking tea with our little pinky stuck up in the air. So, be patriotic today. Do you have a favorite rum drink?
National Airborne Day
"August 16, 1940, marks the date of the first official Army parachute jump at Ft. Benning, Georgia. The successful jump validated the innovative concept of inserting U.S. ground combat forces behind a battle line by parachute. These sky soldiers represent some of the most prestigious and expertly trained forces in the United States Army. " Any airborne Dawgs out there? Anyone ever just sky dive?
National Joke Day
Jokes have been a part of human culture since at least 1900 BC. It is well known that laughter changes our body chemistry for the better, so start telling or listening to some jokes, even if you have to go on the internet to find them. And then, be patriotic again.

My goto drink is dark rum with coke zero. Imo there's plenty of sugar in rum without adding coke to it. My favorite is Kraken
And it falls on a Friday, this is your best “national day” IMO. I will have an extra for you tonight for bringing it to my attention
For sure have one (or more) for me. Maybe one for the airborne folks as well. You, sir, seem to be a true patriot !!
If I don’t post tomorrow that’s a solid indicator of how many extra I had
Ron Zacapa on ice. It's better than Habana Club (the real stuff, not the copycat sold I n US).
Black Kraken spiced rum with Coke Zero.....At Christmastime, I use it for rumcake and in eggnog. Pretty good stuff.
Authentic Havana Club from Cuba is (IMO) harsh as all get out. For sippin much prefer El Dorado 21, Santa Teresa 1796, Zacapa XO, Diplomatico, Guatemalan Zaya, or even Ron Del Barrilito 3* just to name a very few. Almost impossible to find unless you are in BVI but The Callwood (Spiced) is one fun rum. If you're ever in Tortola the distillery is a must visit.
Brought back Masetros from Eleuthera. Pretty good but not worth $125. Give me the Havana Club 7Anos
Cuba libres on deck
“Why’s al the rum gone?” -captain jack sparrow
Good to see another 3* become successful!
Sailor Jerry and sprite , or Flora de Cana 18 on ice . And it will be a honor I tell ya to have one or more in honor of the gallant service of American paratroopers of every branch .....if you have every leapt out of a perfectly good airplane for Uncle Sam...here's too you !
Malibu Bay Breeze. It's a fruity drink. Bring it on , I can take it.
My daughter has asked to go sky diving with friends tomorrow. My wife and me actually thought the real thing. They're going to one of those "sky dive rooms". Initially the answer was a definite no, now maybe
Has anybody ever been to the place that makes rum in south Georgia? I can't remember the name or the exact town where it's made. I saw it on GPB one night. They said on the show that it was really good rum.
Richland Rum.
Quite respectable.
