Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

It only matters who signs a NLT with Georgia on Dec. 19 to Dec. 21.
Weve wasted 529 pages for nothing?
Make the "main thing" the 'main thing".
Looks like I'm a little late to the party I threw, so I'll be brief.
I get your point about potentially costing us in the future. Only time will tell if you're right. Two counters to it though. 1. "putting a fence around the state" is becoming old school for the reasons I mentioned previously. 2. Even if I'm wrong, selling kids on "stay home" will keep us in quality recruits no matter what the prior classes did.
On topic, I don't know if it's Evans or someone else, but something big is about to pop this week. No inside info, all gut.

U made me laugh out loud and then had to try to explain what I was laughing about to teenage daughters. Not easy when you have to explain recruiting, commitment, ESD, ....
now this is something that I can agree with.
Solid gold right here.
Yeah, I just don’t buy that Kirby lucked into all of these elite recruiters that are irreplaceable. As for the Gators, they have Mullen, who doesn’t know how to put together an elite staff and is a **** himself. You have a point with Saban, but that had more to do with having to compete with Kirby and UGA on the trail. Bama thought that they were getting a lot of guys that they didn’t because of our big year and how Kirby recruits. That staff would’ve been fine almost any other year.
I’m not saying there won’t be growing pains, but deciding to not go for the best for this reason is crazy.
Much better. It’s hard to recruit if you’ve got nothing to sell. With that said, as someone pointed out, Florida is rich in tradition and their recruiting has dropped off. Especially under McElwain. So it still takes a good recruiter to close the deal.
It also takes an elite recruiter as a head coach who takes it seriously. Mullen and McElwain are not this.
That’s one view Sam. An alternative view is that our recruiting has grown from an original battle plan of “Build a Wall Around GA” to a current plan of “Cherry Pick the Best Talent in the World” (or at least the US and Canadia).
Agreed
Been off for 3 days visiting so sorry if this has been detailed before.
Evans - now 9 UGA; 3 Cloudy; 1 UT Niebhur flipped Bama to UGA; Warren flipped TAMU to UGA and Rusty new to UGA. Looks like Bama is out of it after getting 3* RB commit in addition to the flip.
CKS's goal is to win the Natti. To do that he needs to compete with the Alabama's and Clemson's of the college football world. Clemson has signed one player from South Carolina Tyler Venables 3 * safety. Alabama has signed 8 from Alabama and Georgia has signed 4. I know that Georgia has a far richer talent pool than either South Carolina or Alabama. It seems to me that CKS is working very hard to achieve that goal.
When I look at Clemson's recruits outside of DL and QB who would you take over who Georgia is recruiting. For Alabama it is only D-line. If Georgia somehow gets both Jordan Burch and Gervon Dexter that will close the gap at D-line.
Jeff's top ten recruiting targets are: Their are only 6-9 places left.
1 Kelee Ringo CB
2 Noha Sewell ATH/LB
3 Zachary Evans RB
4 Jordan Burch SDE
5 Elias Ricks CB
6 Darnell Washington TE
7 Theo Johnson TE
8 Zykeivous Walker
9 Arik Gilbert ATH/TE
10 Gervon Dexter DT
