Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Mike, it’s hard, but we forgive you and choose to move on with our lives. Haha. Seriously, I think we all get it. Lord knows, I make mistakes all the time, only I don’t have thousands reading over them. Nice work on the reporting from Orlando. I only wish you were able to write about a Gators loss.
I'm surprised that you naturally assumed I was talking about you. How do you know I wasn't talking about the other side of the argument?
No harm, no foul Mike. Keep up the good work.
You could have just said that you were highlighting that Kirby owns Mullen and would have got 100+ UV 😉
Bc you downvoted my post about it and we’ve tangled in the past
Here’s a suggestion. We all read the articles anyways. How about when you notice a blatant error, you come here and kindly ask for a correction? Crowd-sourcing the editor role.
We’re spoiled by great (free) content. I’m willing to look past the occasional typo.
Honestly, folks, if you see an error please let me know with a Twitter DM @MikeGriffith32 or email mikegriffith032@gmail.com
It would be greatly appreciated, though I will do my best to limit the typos and brain freezes in the future!
thanks!
The Editor role is now more of a HR function. Their primary responsibility is to prevent lawsuits and impose Political Correctness.
Mike, you must realize that this board is composed of all former straight A English majors who never have and continue to never make typo errors. /a
The writing here is horrible and its been going on for a long time.
When its mentioned the response is typically
Its not my fault! You saw this from Kasey. So much for personal responsibility huh?
or
It happens everywhere so deal with it. Here is the thing though. It doesn't. Even if it did that is a very very poor excuse.
I write stuff all the time and typically use grammarly for corrections.
It works great and would catch 98% of this stuff. Plus its free. There is a premium version for 20 bucks a month that has even more features.
Its boils down to laziness. Pure and simple.
Id love to be able to use this excuse at work.
I was tired!!!!!
Sign of the times I guess. Its always someones elses fault. Those same folks though will preach to you about personal responsibility etc. Unreal.
LOL
This is not a zinger at all...I write a lot too. It's easy to miss stuff. Heck, my buddy and I started a blog about UGA sports this year that I may drop a link to every once in a while when we write about something being discussed on the forum. Not going to do that now.
But for @MikeGriffith and anybody else that might be interested—professionals or you other hobbyist UGA bloggers—y'all should check out Pro Writing Aid. It hit the market before Grammarly did and it's awesome for less money. It's like having your own personal writing coach for when a copy editor isn't around and you'd like a second look.
I love you all so much that this link isn't even my referral link.
Have not tried that one myself RetiredRedcoat but im sure it works
Point is there is technology that can mitigate some of this stuff. But, and this is the problem, it requires some short term pain learning the software etc. I have to remind myself that not everyone is as tech savy as others.
But the long term benefit would be obvious to anyone who gives one of these options a fair chance.
A lot of the painfully obvious stuff would be easily cleaned up.
Cool. How come I cant see who DV'd me?
That question is out of my pay grade. But @ghostofuga1 is willing to check for you $10 a month. I'm not afraid to price myself competitively though
I'll give you a free one though...I DV you
No seriously, I tried seeing who DV me on this thread and I couldn't. I could see who UV me, but not DV
It changed a while back. No idea why. I don't like the idea personally but it is what it is
Just a shot in the dark here, but I'd imagine it's to prevent retaliatory DVs.
@MikeGriffith I definitely respect that you owned up to the mistake and didn't dance around it. Thank you for your hard work and otherwise great content! I look forward to reading many more fantastic articles from you in the future.
Took no time for this thread to go full millenial on us...
