Miami lost to a top 10 team and threw to their TEs quite a bit.
TBH - I don’t think a 49-3 blowout by Miami would have made a difference. He’s going to be in this class IMO.
Top ten team you say?!?!?
Jarren Williams threw to his TE's because they were his safety valve.
Dan Enos knew going into that game it was going to be a disaster. Even the commentators mentioned how quick he was getting the ball out. They sounded impressed. I think that quickness was by design.
Enos knew that line couldn't hold for anything against UF...at least not without holding. Williams' only option was to get the ball out fast...he didn't have time to let the play develop. And being the youngster he is, even if he had time to let the play develop he wouldn't do it. He'd just take off—which he tried to do several times. Doesn't work when there is SEC speed on the other side of the LOS.
So yeah, if DW went there he'd get used, all right. He'd either be used as an escape valve for a QB who has no choice but throw to him for 3.7 yards or as an attempt to help an OT block a guy that should be able to be handled solo.
Come on down to Athenstown, DW!
Very surprised Alabama isn’t here tbh. Could be an indication that they’re in good standing with Gilbert 🤷🏼♂️
Watching Clayton highlights his running style is unique. Reminds me a lot of Joshua Jacobs. I wonder how good he is at WR? Could be a nice all purpose player that can line up at RB and WR.
Idk Miami's QB Williams sure looked to have some potential, if only he had a little bit more help in the form of protection on the OL and receiving corp. He def had ****
Seriously? S.punk is censored?
2 Crystal Balls for Washington to the good guys!!
Very well said, I'm loving this!
On Ashaad Johnson (Clayton) there are 3 things to remember
So what does this Ashaad Clayton twitter edit all mean. I kno evans is likely to commit but why is he showing uga so much love lately
I think results on the field dont mean everything to these recruits yes they help but its also the recruiters. Enos (who Kirby wanted) is a excellent recruiter as is Diaz. I can see Miami turning things around. Williams getting early starts should speak to the potential development he has. I do believe Washington commits to UGA but Miami isnt some push over recruiting staff. (Remember UGA hasnt really targeted TE in Kirby's tenure even though Nauta, Ford, etc showed capabilities).
I agree but think the performance of the OL was horrid. It may be a long time before Miami releases it's TE in passing situations except in 3 TE sets (keep 2 in, release the third).
