Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

No point to redshirt a Kid that's gonna be 3 & out regardless of the stats he puts up.
K Moreno.
At this point I rather us get Arian Smith than Evans.
This, or another Corey Wren type, shifty wr.
Agreed.
Evans looks like a flight risk where ever he goes
I'd rather get both and only 1 TE.
Same. After I saw what @SoFL_Dawg had to say the other day about the different scenarios on the finish to the class, I rather one TE (Washington), then Evans, Smith, and the BPA after that to finish out the class.
LSU only has so many slots. Thank Heavens frankly.
Claytons CBs are coming in for Colorado now
One thing I find interesting looking at the 2017-2020 recruiting classes, LSU still isn't recruiting top shelf OL outside of Deculus and K. Thomas. Rankings obviously only mean so much and they may have found diamonds in the grass for all I know, but if they haven't.... All I'm saying is it's great for the future that we're recruiting so well on both lines of scrimmage right now.
I'm of the opinion that this team needs the kinda bump in offense that Smith and Evans could provide..along with DW of course.
I think Rosemy can have an impact as a TF but Smith and Wren may take some seasoning. Smith's probably caught more balls as an actual WR than Wren from looking at their tape/HS offenses and that size could give him a chance at playing early. I think we NEED him. And a tweaked scheme to properly make use of him but that's another story..
Evans just because of the natural elite ability: I remember when there was still a question of should the Dawgs just be happy with Tank and move on from Evans and there were a few like Jeff who pointed to the shuttle numbers and the tape and said that he could be the tiny bit of difference to beat elite defensive teams like Clemson or Bama(or LSU).
And I'm a RB guy. 🤷
Making up for a lower rated line by getting the ball out quick and unpredictable play calls that get the defense off balance and open up running lanes with out the OL having to be elite.
Much different philosophy that what we subscribe to here at UGA.
we have to have road graders to continually run into out numbered boxes instead of throw to advantageous numbers in the passing game.
only in obvious situations can we throw the ball.
That's what the LSU offensive philosophy aims to do in every game ideally, but by now it should be obvious that every offense has its weak points and theirs will be the LOS when something goes wrong or defenses just catch on to their supposed unpredictability.
I promise you what you describe isn't the ideal of our offensive philosophy. You're describing what amounts to the dysfunction that stems from not only our WRs being a good bit greener, but overall our TEs and WRs are not blocking as efficiently as the 2017 team.
Burrow gets the ball out quick and they do a good job of lining up in formations that stress out the defense and require excellent communication on the back end.
It doesn't require 5 5-stars to block in that scenario. especially when you have skills players like they do.
Clayton CB to Colorado due to Evans silent?
