That would be an interesting move on his part, considering they have 9 DL and 1 OL committed
Nobody knows what Burch is doing. Follow the visits. LSU is late to the party. And they need OL not DL, unless they billy bob some current commits...which, sure may help them get some better players this cycle, but will absolutely hurt future recruiting relationships with both HS coaches and parents opinions of their word.
to relate this to UGA I’m really hoping Zirkel getting blue shirted doesn’t upset him. We need a specs replacement. I’ve become too accustomed to that luxury
There is definitely interest / chatter but until Wiltfong flips his CB, these seems like more for clicks, as “it could happen” type chatter
We have an opportunity to slow this LSU momentum in a couple weeks
Well that would ****. We just need some NFL team to pay Joe Brady $4mm/yr to be HC and LSU will go back to normal LSU.
Maybe OC but zero chance he becomes a head coach after this season
Does Jordan wanna be the 10th DL to commit?
Also, that camp is notoriously tight lipped...where is wiltfong getting this info?
I have no idea where Burch is going but your “late to the party” line as a reason Burch won’t go there - LSU was late and out of left field selection by Arik Gilbert as well.
FWIW, I also heard LSU made a jump, posted a couple of days ago here. I would understand with his connections if he’s hearing them.
Still think staff has done enough for the good guys to win this one. Can’t deny the “new hotness” is the purple and gold right now. I like the colors (shout out to ARC Musketeers), but I believe Burch will put on the red and black. If it changes and I hear it, so will y’all.
Those two are a little different though yea? 1 offensive player, 1 defensive. Plus NO ONE was picking Arik to go there
This - LSU offense looks a lot sexier than the defense right now.
After fighting the good fight against Clemson, it would be ashamed if battle fatigue set in and LSU were to swoop down and win as the fresh face without any battle scars.
I think Burch will ultimately value the relationships he has built with UGA and not fall for the grass is greener sales pitch from LSU.
Location could also be huge here. Haven’t heard that location matters but looking at the trends, seems like he values staying closer to home.
Thanks. That makes me feel better. He and is family seem very mature and less likely to fall for a late sales pitch.
One of LSU’s DT pledges decommitted tonight so now 8 DL commits
Location does matter, and that’s why I’m not ready to consider LSU a fit in the end. I’ll admit they’re buzzing, but don’t all schools buzz following an impressive official visit? LSU also has the added advantage of Burch witnessing them beat Bama in Tuscaloosa.
But there’s a reason LSU hasn’t been a factor until now. Distance. Alabama, same issue.
In my mind, it was always going to come down to UGA, CU, and USC. Out of those 3?
USC: program is going nowhere; incompetent staff
CU: Excellent program, staff ticked off Mama
UGA: perfect medium; excellent program, competent staff on Mom’s good side, and close to home
Hope everyone is starting to see the logic here..it’s not an exact science but there’s a reason UGA fans should feel confident, and why I’ve been so confident projecting him to Athens
A quick look at the rest of his feed and it seems as if he was all LSU a week ago... seems like LSU is having to make room for someone else
Yeah I think we have to weather the storm and hit a home run with momma Burch during hopefully a Dec OV.
Again, aren’t all elite recruits “all” whoever they visit the previous week? LSU will give a push, as has Oregon for a couple of other defensive TPO targets, but you have to trust the staff, number of visits, SoFL/ClemTown and stop trying to find something negative in EVERYTHING!
I think we could hit it out of the park with 7-8 5 stars to end the class and you would still complain about one of them driving a car that’s not red or black.
Next to commit
