Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I played against Brandon in Highschool...
I want him too, but he just came off the equivalent of a 3 day OV. All day last Thursday and then the weekend. He didn’t choose us, even if he may have wanted to, he didn’t.
Word is it flipped to USCjr on Tuesday night between Muschamp and momma Burch, “on the phone.” That means to me momma never wanted him here or anywhere else, and Burch doesn’t seem like a kid that wants to disappoint momma (think Landon Collins here). Seems like they have a challenge saying no from my vantage point. CU never heard no and the chatter on that was momma Burch was PO at Dabo. I’m speculating as that being the reason they all looked so uncomfortable on what should’ve been a happy moment. They knew 3 schools thought they had them, based on what they communicated to those staffs. The pressure on momma Burch to keep him in town is probably something none of us will ever understand what that feels like. I get it, even if I disagree with it.
Succinctly, I’d temper expectations here. My guess is TOS insider doesn’t know about that team signing plan yet. The video released after the announcement should be seen as a reaffirmation of the announcement. They ducked questions from reporters for obvious reasons.
If what has been reported here is true, then it appears the HS won’t allow their students to sign a NLI until NSD. Burch won’t be facing these issues, but imagine how things could change with some of their lesser athletes, who could easily find themselves in a different situation a month and a half from now. If I were the parent then I would be telling the school it isn’t their decision when my son signs.
As for Burch, it isn’t over until he signs.
This will be unpopular....but if all this is true about momma she bumps him down a star and will be a thorn in the side moving forward with him, the coaches, fans, and media. Let him disappear at USCjr where his talent will be lost in the void. Better than Clemson/Bama.
Lets move on.
ETA - I wish the best for him individually. Like a Kinlaw I hope he’s a good player on a bad team so it doesn’t effect us (I know....as long as we don’t beat ourselves).
Yeah that’s unpopular. Once he signs, she loses the leverage. She’ll just be noise on the outside once he’s in the program. We’ve had vocal parents here too, didn’t change a thing.
Guess we’ll find out. I just know Rusty isn’t the type to come out and say we’re still in it if we’re not.
Low key agree with this. Might be too much of my psych degree but i think there’s truth to this. Would love to see how he responds to adversity
Didn’t know it was him and I agree, he might be the most plugged in for UGA. Maybe he doesn’t know that team signing plan though. Take it to him? See if he does and still feels the way he feels?
Can a high school prevent a kid from signing a LOI during the early signing period? That just doesn’t seem possible.
Ringo came to his high schools signing ceremony in Duck gear:
you don’t even have to be a troll expert to know that this is a great sign for the good guys
I completely agree with this. I'll believe he lives up to that ranking when I see it. Physically the kid is great (although I'm not impressed with his first step), but we've all seen wasted physical talent.
And no, this isn't sour grapes. I felt this way the whole time, but what was I gonna do, question a kid everyone in here wanted? I'm not THAT dumb.
DL to DL, I wouldn't trade Carter for Burch despite their rankings.
Couldn't agree more.
No question Carter was going to be our best DL this class once we lost on Bresee.
Ive seen one game in Burch’s career, on ESPN earlier this year. He took plays off that night, and only played RB a handful of times. Fair to question the motor but it was a sample size of 1.
My point on him was simply preparing for needs. I think we checked every box, excluding the edge. IMO that’s what makes him so important, the potential he brings to the position. Sit and learn for a year, be ready to contribute in 21.
I don't understand the somewhat negative comments about Jordan Burch.
Don't doubt that some of you questioned his rating all along. Fair enough. But why bring it up now?
Maybe it's not sour grapes.... but it sounds like it.
The fact is 99% of our fan base wanted this kid and the Georgia staff spent a great deal of resources and energy recruiting this kid.
It was a huge recruiting loss.
Making it sound like it's not a huge recruiting loss.... seems like the same thing some of our members make fun of other team's boatds saying.
May be your true feelings..... but not the best time to express them.
Korey Foreman just jumped to becoming an even bigger need for us next cycle.
