Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Hope we get one of the three. I am just not confident enough to think we will get two, much less three. Still a great class regardless.
Don't be a victim of the RWTT. Save that for the UTJr and Oregon fans
Don't you put that evil on me!!!!!
I hate to break it to you, but we supposedly already have all 3.
@SoFL_Dawg changing the subject somewhat
We are in line for 6 OL commitments if all stick. I would have preferred an extra DL or BPA instead. Are the new OL commits due to expected OL attrition, ML having different evaluations, or a problem with BJ or SVPG. I think you had something on this a while back but that was awhile ago and the math doesn’t add up at the end of the ESD.
Completely agree - my point being that Ringo and Washington appear to be spreading misinformation everywhere for giggles
A little perspective FWIW on the Evans thing. The Galena Park/North Shore area of Houston is not exactly a garden spot. I grew up very close to there and it was definitely rough and "wrong side of the tracks". That was many years ago but I did drive through that area about 10 years ago and it had declined since the time I was there.
No way to spin it, this is terrible timing and horrendous optics. I would love to be a fly on the wall to see the convo between Kirby and Dell right now.
I think this staff has had its fill with Evans. I think Evans fills the same with them. It’s petty on both sides and going back to the original incident earlier this year, I do believe the staff at Northshore felt some blow back from Texas. This seems like a culmination of things vs. a singular incident.
Regardless, talent aside, this has to concern everyone. The maturity isn’t there. Coaches may not be blameless but I’m positive there was recently a convo about this very thing between UGA and Evans.
Kirby is going to have to figure out a way to make this all work.
You have to have a plan for this kind of stuff. I think that’s the key. Pair up players that get it with players that still need to learn. Make sure that Jonas and the advisors get them started academically in the right way. My wife works in behavior science. Try to find out what external factors helps there motivation. Does a guy have intrinsic motivation, and if so, how can you channel that in a positive manner.
He's either starring for the Dawgs in 2021 or breaking Isaiah Crowell's records at Alabama State in 2022. 50-50.
IIRC he said we could lose three more OL off the current roster. One to the NFL, one to medical DQ, and one to the portal.
Ok.....I'm going to speak out on Zach Evans......I've not shared much and mainly communicated through @SoFL_Dawg .
Everyone claims sources......hopefully I've built enough credibility on here with some of you that I can just say that I have unique sources connected to Evans . All I'll say.
1. Not going to go through it again but I knew the exact facts about the game one incident. Not speculation....but what happened
2. I knew that Georgia was still occasionally communicating with Evans throughout the season.
3. I reached out to soflow a few nights ago about the developing Evans and Georgia situation and 2 days later it all blew up that we may be getting Evans. Not saying I knew something before other people......just a couple of days before news broke
I say all of that to give you my opinion based on what I've heard. (Oh. ..I think he may have signed a LOI but I cannot confirm it......just thought I'd add thst)
So......I've heard from a number of people that Zach is a pretty good kid....but maybe a little entitled from all the recruiting stuff....not going to share what I've heard about is support system or how he's grown up.....there is enough speculation all ready out there.
Evans probably needs Georgia more than Georgis needs him. He is a high risk recruit but is probably worth the risk. I believe what support system he has thinks Georgia is the best choice for him.....Baton Rouge is what it is......and TAMU is probably a little too close to home.
Everyone has the freedom to say what they want on here.....but may I suggest being careful what is said or shared about the young man on this forum.
If by chance he does end up at Georgia.....it would be great if he had some what of a chance at a fresh start without facing predetermined opinions from the fan base of the school he chose.
Our coaches can't help every kid that needs the help.....but they are certainly equipped to help a few young men that need a little extra attention.
I hope Zach ends up at Georgia. I hope he finds the help he needs from our coaches and that he becomes a success on the field as well as off the field.
But even if Georgia doesn't work out.....I hope he finds a school that is just as interested in helping him develop as a person as they are as a football player.
Go Dawgs and Merry Christmas
We will have these types of kids every cycle. We have a couple on the team now. One specifically that is at a crossroads and will have to choose a good path to remain enrolled. I'm sure we have a plan and it will either work or it won't. It won't be the first or last situation like this. But, you take the kid in, love on him and he'll either mature or he won't.
Kirby, I believe, totally understands that the program and it's goals are much bigger than any one player. The talent is there to take a chance, but it is a calculated decision.
Great post Tex, I hope Zach ends up here and turns out to be a great young man. UGA does have a great structure. I hope Zach finds success wherever he decides to go to college.
