Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Thanks tex. I definitely am not blaming the coaches. Can’t imagine a world where I would hit a coach. I also imagine that it’s been a series of issues over the years. Must be pretty hardcore to keep a kid that talented out of UGA. I’ve never been sanctimonious about the ethics in Athens so it must be significant.
Great post... My thoughts exactly!
Go Dawgs!
Looking forward to moving on from Evans or atleast all the talk on this board about it. When is the next weekend UGA has recruits coming in for a visit now that the early process is done. Need to close strong and we have the Kang of closers.
We could honestly take any RB they’re gonna get theirs behind a OL like we have hell I’ll take miles Friday the lowest rated RB that I see we offered. I’ll even take Jordan Simmons if he can be anything better than his brother
Is there still room on the Gibbs train tho. I like his play. He’s fast and shifty
Being behind a good line isn't enough. Getting to the second and third level marks the superiority of a RB. Example this year UGA didn't get there much outside of Swift.
As for your Gibbs suggestion he is a downgrade of Tank who was a downgrade of Milton. One Cut then off to the races backs. UGA wants a HR hitter but there dont seem to be any.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so ready for a recruiting cycle to end. Ready for spring practice
My job requires that I give up my phone before I go into the building. In fact I could be arrested for bringing it in. Giving up your phone is not the end of the world.
Welcome to the recruiting thread.
As you can see by the 1.6million views, it is quite popular.
Your comment is kinda our M.O....
If what has been shared with us is true (that Zach sat down with our coaches, was given a standard to live up to, failed to do so, and was let go because of it), this could be a great thing for him. Often in life, the cost of bad choices is VERY high. It sounds like Zach will still be able to get a full scholarship at an elite level college football program, and have a chance to attain his ultimate goal of being in the NFL. This is a speed bump for sure, but this could also be a turning point for him that he is grateful for down the line. Best of luck to the young man. I trust in Coach Smart, and truly think he may have done the best thing for both UGA and Zach in this case.
Looking on the bright side this fine morning. We will never have to play against Evans at TAMU as they are not going to win the West and are not on the schedule for another 6 years. Wishing him well and waiting to see who we get to add to the rest of the class.
Before, I was disappointed by this, Now, I'm just exhausted by it. I sincerely wish him the best but I'm done with it.
Another wrinkle. Several of you say that Evans is a 17 year old blah, blah, blah. As a 17 yr old, he cannot sign for himself. Who is the guardian? Anything to that?
Package deal. Guarantee SVPG and Clayton.
The "grown adults" (as opposed to grown children or shrunk adults?) are only concerned with UGA football. An 18 year old boy's decisions are naturally a part of that. Keeping up with Georgia football is a hobby, separate from raising my own three children. I'll bet most of the forum members turn off Dawgnation at church or family dinner and don't obsess about Zach Evans (or Jake Fromm or Justin Fields) as much as you think.
