Thank you sir, I will definitely go take a look
Bullet Rye is my go to whiskey. Bourbon is a bit too sweet for me.
I am a Blantons man, but if you ever get the chance try some Eagle Rare. Smooth.
I just picked up that unicorn this weekend after looking for over a month. I got it for the same price as the blue label. An absolute steal!
When I first started with the SR it was 16.99 for a fifth. Now the cheapest I can find a fifth is 29.99 and the 1.75 has been nonexistent for the last year.
You can get the regular blue label bottle of Michter's Bourbon for under 50. The cheapest I've gotten it was 38 but it's north of 40 pretty much everywhere now. And it's GOOD.
Picked these up today...they're both 1.75L bottles. I'm not the hugest fan of Buffalo Trace, but now that it has become a "boutique" bourbon, I Iike to have it on hand for guests, which allows me to continue enjoying the Weller, Eagle Rare and McKenna 10 year without having to share! 😎
No
You sure?
Since there's a little bit of scotch discussion, I'll add my dram:
Taking a break from my normal Islay brands (Lagavulin 16 is a staple for me.) I'm currently enjoying this Speyside. Got a bottle as a gift a few years back, saw it in my local shop recently and decided to relive some fond memories.
Thanks for sharing this Moos. I'm a Scotch man myself, but I hang out on this thread because I'd never turn down a good glass of bourbon either.
I paid $36.99 for the 1.75L
That's a great price! That's close to what I was paying 2-3 years ago for it. I get confused looks when I ask for the half gallon SR now. And I hear the going rate for it is between 45 and 55 for those who find it. Good find!
An Infinity bottle I have going right now...
A Scotch lady here, Glenlivet. (Bourbon barrels are used to make Scotch, so I'm not too far off the OP, yes?)
