Yeah, bro. My folks are in Lafayette and haven’t left the house in 3 days. In Sac, we just got “sheltered-in” about 20 minutes ago.
I feel it. I, too must go in to work tomorrow and will be solopiloting the office.
The governor stated today that he believes that 52% of the state will contract it within the next 8 weeks.

All ok with us here in VA. Hunkering down. Having sports withdrawals.
Another nice morning in the Upstate of SC. Like a lot of less populated places in our country, it hasn't seemed to blow up here yet. That's the key, I think. It needs to blow up in different places at different times to help the medical world cope. Hoping the social distancing does just that - delay what may be inevitable. It has been WARM here the past couple of days, and will get into the 80's today. We will see what temps do to this thing eventually. Don't expect it to end, just hoping and praying for any type of reduction in transmission - anything to help the percentages. We are a week into things changing here, and day five of the schools being out. If the 14 day timeline is pretty accurate, I feel like - in places like this - we will have a greater grasp on what we are fighting in less populated areas.
Other parts of the country will not be so lucky, and I pray for them! Other parts of the world as well. But I am thankful for today, ask for daily bread, and will soak up this time with my family. Stay safe, my Dawgs.
Funny because it’s true. I never realized how much of my distraction time is dedicated to sports; this website and soccer this time of year. It’s a weird void.
My wife has been on Plaquenil for a year. Wonder if the shortage of this will effect her?
It sure will. I am the contracting officer and buyer for my pharmacy. There is NONE available to purchase through our Prime vendor or secondary vendor. The best get well date was 30 April but that will change if Bayer ramps up production.
Hanging in there in Dallas. Bored as hell. This is what I'm seeing on the recruiting trail during this pandemic.
Although recruiting is in a dead period.....recruiting hasn't stopped. I have received over 100 emails today from various schools asking about kids. And the players that are old enough to hear directly from colleges are hearing from coaches quite often as well.
Things are changing quickly but it looks like the summer camps will be pushed back.....at least a month. Still up in the air.
Right now camp season is from 5/31 - 06/22. May be pushed back a month.
July is usually a fairly slow month for college coaches. Probably won't be this year. I expect HS camps to be on campuses in July and then fall camps starting in August. That is non stop for coaches.

so I want to start by saying I know this is really hurting and negatively impacting a lot of people, both at home and abroad. Small businesses, employees of those companies, folks who work in and support the medical industry, etc. More than I can name. It is a lot of stress, pain, and for some a legit medical threat. I do not want the rest of my post to underscore or diminish that. And luck/timing plays a part because there are many times in my life where this exact scenario would have really hurt me. I think, just in general, we often under value "luck" in our successes in life
That said, and of course only so far as things could change, this virus has not negatively impacted me at all and I honestly have greatly benefited from it. I already work from home 3x a week so the transition to 5 days a week was no obstacle and something many employees have been asking for. I only have one kid and he is 10 so I am not facing the same challenges those with toddlers and younger are facing. He does his school work on the iPad, entertains himself, and it has been a joy to have even more time with him. At lunch we walk the dogs, throw the football, etc. My wife is still going into the office but she is in management, works for a home medical equipment company (respiratory therapist, primarily) and so there is a great demand for their services. No risk of furloughs or unemployment. She will be transitioning to working from home next week. Just the above I am incredibly blessed and fortunate.
We are comfortable for food and basic needs for at least a couple weeks, thanks to deep freezer/costco membership. Nothing to do with the virus, we would be just as comfortable 3 months ago. That is a blessing just being where we are in life.early 20s me would not be so fortunate.
before the virus got all crazy in the USA, which happened pretty quickly the last couple of weeks, we had our house on the market. that Monday we checked on conventional 30 year rates and we were quited 3.5%. That is with 800+ credit score. That Friday we listed our house, had someone tour and make and offer, and we accepted. I called the lender and rates were down to 3.25%. Saturday we toured a house, made an offer, and they accepted. Monday we called the bank to lock in our rate and it was down to 3.125%. We locked that in (I understand it dropped after that but we are still very happy with our rate.) We close both on the selling and buying of the houses next Friday the 27th. Movers are secured, barring something else that happens.
so I have been given more blessings and received more good luck than I deserve or could have earned. I hope some of it rubs on everyone I come across (which isn't many people these days!) and surely hope it continues for my family.

We are working everyday. I don’t watch the news so life to us is good. Only way we know what’s going on is we can’t eat out for lunch so we take ours. We are working 12hr days. Hope every one is doing good.
