- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I saw that documentary too!
Ok. Everyone else has increased as well. What's your point?
The relief bill was set to pass easily today with a voice vote, but a single representative is now holding up the entire process and forcing a roll call vote. Now every Rep has to come back which risks more exposure and delays the bill further.
I've got a good friend that moved up there. He works for the state where they approve construction sites, and restaurant codes, etc. The stories he tells me about the locals is insane. I mean it. Most people on this board probably wouldn't believe it. Let's just say they have more cents than sense in that region.
More up to date info
Had a friend that worked at a yacht club. The **** they pull is insane. Drunk driving and boating was the norm
Where did these numbers come from? I'm looking at the WHO daily tracker and it shows as of yesterday 26 March (the latest info available) that Spain has 47,000 cases (not 56,000), Switzerland has 9,700 (not 11,500), Germany has 36,000 (not 40,500), Some others are off as well.
This is from Johns Hopkins
I remember he told be a story about how these folks were building a new house on a lake. So... obviously it's a construction site. Well the neighbors didn't like the view when they drove their boat by. So they paid millions of dollars to hire an artist to make it better. This artist puts up a huge drape across the trees on the coastline. He paints it up so it looks like the regular forest and blends in with the surroundings and hides the construction. Of course once the house was finished the artists work is just torn down and destroyed. I mean... I guess it's good work for the artist.
And that's one of the playing nice stories. He had so many others about petty neighbor feuds where one of the guys did a secret takeover of the others company in stock just to force the other one out.
One guy had a neighbor move in, well he didn't want the neighbor and could sometimes hear them through the woods. They went back and forth and back and forth because the new guy had built his dream home to retire in. Eventually the new home gets finished. So the disgruntled neighbor finally goes over and offers 20million dollars for something like a 5million dollar home. Basically an offer that the new neighbor couldn't refuse. The guy says fine, sells the home. And then the new owner bulldozes it down to the ground and keeps the lot.
These are just some I can remember off the top of my head. It's just a different world up there.
When petty people have money man I swear
I don't care for the grandstanding, and Rep. Massie has been universally condemned (by the president and by both parties). At the same time, there's no reason they shouldn't be able to safely conduct a roll call, without undue delay. So the objections seem specious.
As usual, something stinks in the swamp.
At least the Kennedy Center will be well funded 🐖
Well my boss has tested positive for Covid-19. First started to feel off on Saturday. Was still working in field as of Tuesday. Wednesday shortness of breath with dry cough, red eyes, temp spiked at nearly 103. They got the temp down. He’s stable right now. They ordered test, positive confirmation.
Father of 3, husband, single income household. Please add him to your prayer lists and continue to stay safe taking this thing serious.
Not enough reps in DC to form a quorum needed for a roll call vote. They now have to scramble back last minute with limited transportation options. Might push the vote back till tomorrow. Hopefully he just gives it up and lets the voice vote proceed since he's being thoroughly excoriated.
Are you staying out of hospitals now?
Our company mandate was to shut down last week. I’ve been on the couch since last Wednesday.
This was a special circumstance that caused him to be in the field and since he was closest to that hospital, he drove as flight travel has been suspended. To be fair he said he felt off Saturday and blamed it on fatigue. Was in the field Tuesday then it hit the fan Wednesday.
He’s stable now and we believe he’ll be fine. Just escalated quickly. His family is fine as well for now.
That's good he's feeling better. I wouldn't to be working in a hospital right now. Some turning into a war zone
Fit dude, that helps. Once temp is under control the rest manageable. Just speaking positive vibes into the air. He’ll be fine and family are OK for now.
Surgery doesn’t stop, elective cases slow down but cancer cases will continue. We needed someone there and logistically he drew the short straw. As a leader he stepped up and went in but again, can’t confirm he was exposed at that facility.
It seems, at least where I am, that healthcare workers are far more likely to get exposed in the community just like everyone else than they are at work. At work our guard is up, and we have a lot of preventive measures.
Agreed there. The OR is a clean space to begin with. Traveling to and from the OR different story.
