I just know they better not take CJ Henderson..I really want AJ Epenesa out of Iowa or Javon Kinlaw..However with Brady and Gronk in the division the Falcons might try to make a move for Simmons...

I have no doubt that TD and DQ will do something stûpid. Trading away picks to move up would fit that bill. If we were only a player away from being good, fine, but there are so many holes on this defense, one player isn’t going to solve them.

I wonder how much the position that DQ and TD are in themselves influences the draft process as well. They both need to win this season or they're out. Many thought they should have been gone after last year. Since they are "all in" out of necessity could that make it more likely for them to package picks to move up for a splash defender?

I love Simmons and Okudah but I also really like Kinlaw. Might not have to move up to grab him either. Our OL struggled with him at times the past few years.

If Brown is the guy, they're going to have to trade up to 3 to get him imo. I think Miami wants Derrick Brown instead of a QB.

If they want Kinlaw, I think they might have to move up to 8 because I could see the Jags swiping him at 9.

I love these mock drafts with so many WRs in the first round. So silly. Drafts always seem to primarily focus on QB, OL, and DL first.

I want to like the Falcons again but will be much harder with another Florida guy. We need tough, disciplined guys, not flaky rah rah guys. Quinn’s got to grow up too. I would prefer Kinlaw or Swift, maybe one of the other DL prospects.

Wouldn't bother me if we stay put @ #16 in 1st round or move down for more picks. Hopefully, they pick guys who will stand up during National Anthem. Nuff said...

Gotta go get a pass rusher imo. Brady, and Brees make it so.

Agreed, but what do you think the move is? That's what's hard to figure.

Young would be the perfect pick but can ATL meet the asking price? Hard to see WAS coming off that spot.

The 2nd tier is Chaisson, Epenesa, Gross-Matos. If that's the play, don't you just sit tight at 16?

I like Brown and Kinlaw, but would you move up to take an interior guy when your need is on the edge?

What do you think the move is?

From a lot of the mocks I've seen, could you actually move back 5-6 spots to grab one of that second tier of pass rushers and get some additional draft capital? Maybe trade with a team who wants to jump up to grab a particular QB they like.

I think so, and it seems like the smart move, which is why the Falcons will never do it, right? I'm very interested to see what @SoFL_Dawg says. Also, I just posted a poll to see what everyone else thinks.

Been a bit occupied but what’s Brown’s latest projection? To me, that’s the play you call. How do we move up to take Derrick Brown? Next in line would be Kinlaw for me.

  • KaseyKasey Posts: 29,888 mod

Brown is projected to go in the top 10. Kinlaw top 20...I think Brown goes top 5 and kinlaw top 15, possibly top 10

Agree with this 100%. Have to give up a #2 to get Kinlaw. MUCH more to get Brown. Maybe not all of your picks, but could be something like your #1, #2, #3 this year, plus next year's #1.

Plenty of variables here...how far down does Detroit want to drop in giving up number 3? To Atlanta's spot? I think that's too far. So you may have to give up more.

Arizona might be willing to move down for less if you're satisfied with Kinlaw...

On the flip side, all this Henderson talk could be smoke so someone passes on the DT they need to take the CB they want (jax?)

    I love the draft
