Same here - a buddy of mine kept pitching it to me and I gave in. Glad I did.
Similar to Battlestar Galactica, kinda sorta. It's our distant future for sure. I'm usually not into too much sci-fi but it's a good show.
Face? Is that you? Where's Murdoch?!
Full disclosure - between Erin Gray in Buck Rogers and Athena (Mara Jensen) on Battlestar Galactica, 9-year old Razor begin to realize that there was more to life than Star Wars action figures.
oh...hey Wilma...excuse me - Colonel Deering...didn't see you there...
Yeah, throw Lynda Carter in there too
Warning, if your wife suggests Outlander, run. Run fast, run far.
As far as what to actually watch, I always pitch The Americans and Fargo.
Back to the OP, while reading an episode review on Ozark, they said the best two shows on TV are Ozark and Dark. Never heard of Dark. Has anyone here seen it? It's German, so not sure what to make of that.
Also, the show I discovered during lockdown was Money Heist. Not perfect but really fun.
Dark is good. Takes place in the 80s. Mind bendy time travel. It’s heavy. Not a light watch. But I enjoyed the first season. Never got around to the second season
Dark is not a light watch? Solid analysis, Kasey. Lol.
So many shows out there and I'd to get invested in a blah one. Thanks.
I finished The Last Kingdom last night. I'd give it a solid B+, although the 'Warrior Princess' theme is getting old. My wife and I were laughing when an 8 month pregnant Breida has sword in hand battling a Saxon army. Yeah, that would have happened in the 9th Century!
Staying in the same genre we started Vikings and are on the 4th episode. Pretty good so far.
Watched The Outer Banks on Netflix - was pretty good. Started slowly the first few episodes but good better.
