Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

"Anyone who disagrees with and criticizes Herschel needs to be kicked off the team" that gem and other variations have been on here several times.
I’m sure some folks took that extreme position, but I don’t think it’s really representative.
Herschel...
Signed jersey on my office wall... Check
Signed football on the shelf... Check
Cool pic framed from a "media" day, early 80's with him and UGA... Check
Startling lineup figure (don't judge me) of him and his Heisman... Check
Rookie card on shelf (PSA 9) of him with Generals... Check
He's the 🐐. If he wants to support the guy who brought him out of poverty, so be it. DGD.
Some of the dogs on here need to stop trying to stir stuff up every me someone says something that goes against what you think.
Just because you're right doesn't mean it's the right time or place to shove it down somebody's gullet...
It’s pretty mind-blowing when you put it like that.
I can give you plenty of examples the other way. A personal one, my dad is in a management position with a national corporation. Shares trump and conservative stuff all the time. Never been in trouble. I work with conservatives. No one complains when they talk about their opinions. The "left is an angry mob that wants to control your thoughts" is a way overblown victim ideology.
While that may be right in many cases, staying silent and being polite is how we got ourselves in this mess. It emboldened those that seek to use our compassion and good natures to manipulate and profit. I see people organizing for one side as freely as they want. I see people organizing for another side get assaulted regularly, screamed at in the streets, beaten, forced to do 40hrs of sensitivity training, etc. This has gone way beyond disagreeing.
The kids can have all the opinions they want. The adults can have them too. I think they're falling for a scam of giant proportions and I'd like to state it as such.
Big difference between stating opinions and stirring the pot...
All for stating opinions!
Yeah but that last part is simply framing. Framing it to be much more simple than it is. I agree that Herschel is a DGD and a good person, but if you entrench yourself in politics and take a side, the other side is of course going to criticize you. Especially in todays age when it is as divisive as it is. He's not viewed by today's generation as one of the greatest athletes of all time because he isn't that to them.
And just for the record I have no interest or "side" in politics.
I am shocked to hear that different people in different parts of our country have different experiences...
You mean we all might be right at times?
You mean we all run into resistance to our own ideology?
You mean we all may have shared struggles?
Wouldn't won't that truth to get out... We may actually come to the conclusion that the "other side" isn't pure evil...
Yeah, that is totally the same as being forced to sit through sensitivity training because you support the President of the United States...
yes, the point was they are not the same. Thank you for understanding.
Which mod is censoring the thread? Not showing when comments are made? Hoping it will slide out and go away?
Closely monitoring Off Topic post which will eventually get a thread closed.....
...or be closed.
