Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

No one on here is talking about this today, so I guess I will start the discussion.
I'm sure that many other schools will follow suit in the coming weeks.
I'm sure that it will also piss off about half of football fans, but this is better IMO than going back to half empty (or half full) stadiums

its a new world we live in
This relates a little bit less to us, but this is a foreseeable result for all programs if infections persist they way that are currently.
No it is back to the old world of Small pox, Polio, DPT, Measles, Mumps and Chicken pox. I remember lining up at my old elementary school with my mother, father, Wife and Daughter to get my sugar cube. My uncle had Polio and waked with a limp for the rest of his life. I had measles and almost died. We used to have chicken pox parties in the summer so our kids did not miss the mandatory two week of school.
What ever could have finally arrested those murderous infectious diseases ?
Probably whining about them on social media.
That's what I was thinking.
This thread is merely about attendance through vaccination or a negative covid test. Not your thoughts on the vaccine itself, or your thoughts on those who are vaccinated or unvaccinated. Let's try keep it on the attendance requirements and your thoughts on that. Thanks
As for my two cents, MLB and MLS seem to be doing just fine without this in place. There's been no links to big crowds and them being super spreader events. I keep hearing that as a possibility with big events, but baseball has been back for awhile and no data to show otherwise. So, as far as I'm concerned let's go back to normal. Everyone can assess the risk factor and if they're willing to attend a game or not. That simple, IMHO.
I think we should have the same policy as LSU for all home games this season. That goes for other on campus sports as well.
Interestingly enough, many LSU fans wish that they had our policy.
Spread at large events is going to depend on how high community spread is in general. Higher community spread = more infected people at the event. While Covid transmission is much lower outdoors there are several caveats that would apply at a packed stadium. There are crowded indoor and covered areas at stadiums such as walkways, restrooms, and concessions lines. Also if an infected person or people are screaming next to you for several hours there is a pretty good chance you'll have a decent viral exposure even if you're outdoors.
I can tell you this can be logistically burdensome on the fans.
Despite proving double vaccination, I was told to get tested within three days of today’s surgery. Been dropping kids off to college etc and really little time.
Fake vaccine cards are already on the market. It's going to be like fake ID's getting into a bar. Not going to stop it at this point.
I've chosen to wait a little longer before hitting the big crowds. Felt good in the spring and early summer, but it seems all h.ell broke loose again. All of you that partake, have fun, be smart and be safe.
We're going to be exposed no matter where we go, that's why I'll assess my risk factor and either go to the game or not.
The most burdensome thing is that you can't fit the **** vaccine card in you wallet.
