- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Mike, don’t act like we live in a country right now where the media spins the narrative or reports half stories or not on the story at all because it doesn’t fit the narrative. The media is not perfect by any means and you know it. Alll you have to do is turn on the tv. Whether it be ESPN or ajc or some other channels. Connor wasn’t put in jail for his question but based on how he asked it I think he knew it would rile Kirby just a little. And it did and I don’t blame him. And all you have to do is read his article today about the qbs and see why Kirby as a coach would be upset. And by the way we are in a country right now where a person controls the questions at a press conference!
Okay I listened again, the first time it did not jump out at me.
Connor gave Kirby a chance to explain his frustration.
I don’t see that as increasing his frustration.
Everybody RELAX!
Not an easy job and that same job does get scrutinized from all different sides and at all different levels! But, you go in knowing that, right?
Here is the beauty of all of it, we just beat the brakes off of Arkansas and Florida just gifted themselves the BIG "L" and UK feels relevant!
I wonder if LSU, Florida, A&M and even Missouri, between their shots of "Fireball" have any concerns that their coaches got pissed off at a question in the post game pressers!
We need to keep all things in perspective, seasons like this don't happen every year!
Yeah, it’s really hard to understand how covering a team and a press conference works. Us simpletons could never grasp such rocket science.
Point still stands, Connor asked a question that Kirby had already answered. What a waste of a question for someone with limited access to the team.
And yes, y’all can ask him whatever you want. But I suggest not wasting a question on something that’s already been covered.
And are we not in a country where we’re allowed to question reporters? Sheesh
OMG, this cracked me up so much I had to go back and find Chip's question... and he was right.
Yeah, I sure miss Mr. Towers!
Read the room Mike. Most of this crew, myself included, care way more about winning football and a happy/focused coach than "good" journalism.
And for the folks not happy, let your reading do your talking. Mike/Connor are judged in part by the views & interactions their stories get. Stop clicking on their stories and market principles will take effect.
This. I cant remember the last time i made the mistake of reading an ajc writer with the exception of Jeff.
Mike can read the room…content matters. He’s a good journalist who not only covers football but does a great job covering other UGA sports like basketball. I would hope most of dawgnation reads his work and appreciates it.
As for the people who don’t care about good journalism, there’s always the YouTube wannabe relevant content providers who can fill the void in the absence of good journalism. Nothing but opinion with those guys anyway.
Of course, they couldn’t sniff a fact on their own if they tried. CKS or anybody associated with UGA wouldn’t give them the time of day anyway. Any facts that they could provide would come from the good journalism that guys like Mike and Connor provide to content consumers on DawgNation.
So keep on watching football and not reading “good journalism.” Just remember…the next time you’re talking **** about the latest recruiting news and how strong our recruiting class will be next year, there’s a strong possibility that info came from our recruiting insider who is a good journalist.

Ummmm….Connor just wrote an article about how we need JT to compete for the championship. We just flattened Arkansas the number 8 team without JT. Bad timing? Or wanting to stir?!? If the score was 20-16 maybe but 37-0 come on man
We do need JT to keep competing for one. Stetson is one hit away from having to go to Beck or Brock. Do you think that either have what it takes, at this time, to take us there?
I cringed every time Stet took off running yesterday.
It is better to have JT for sure but we have the benefit of having two really good qbs and we just won 37-0. And the article was comparing the two. Bad timing to me.
I no longer click on Connor. I still click on Mike but not on his grading articles.
Yep. Late at night, typing on an iPhone and don’t claim to be a journalist.
