National League Champs !!!!🏆 Go Braves!!!
Four more to go, guys and girls, just four more!
Let’s do it, Braves!
And don’t forget, he was the game winner TWICE in this NLCS!
Go Braves!
FYI, I never sleep after a long drive home so being up I did a bit of research.
All 3 in our dominant lefty pen corp have been considerably better on the road than at home this season. Minter, Matzek and Smith have been lights out on the road, righty Jackson has been dominant against both righties and lefties. Morton who I expect to start game 1 has been half a run per 9 innings better on the road.
good point. They were missing some players but so were we. I just love it when the biggest spenders in the game end up where they deserve - Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox....they get to count all their money from now until spring training while watching the WS on tv.
Acuna is among the very best young players in baseball. Soroka was shaping up to be a perennial elite starting pitcher and Ozuna was on the MVP short list last year. Put those 3 on this year's team and The Braves would have been dominant all season.
GM deserves a lot of credit bringing in Rosario, Pederson, Soler and Duval to shore up the outfield. And Riley’s dramatically improved defense!
I agree, all of it on a budget dictated by Liberty Media's bean counters in Denver. The Braves' payroll is closer to the middle than the top occupied by The Dodgers.
Which is what makes it so sweet that the top 3 spenders are sitting home from here on out.
Doing more with less makes success all the sweeter.
My guess was correct, Morton was named the starter for game 1. It's lining up well for The Braves with Valdez starting for The Astros. His home era this season is 3.45 while Charlie's road era is 3.06, as I posted earlier, as well as our 3 left handed relievers all being road warriors.
Let's win game 1 and flip the home field advantage.
We are beating Houston
Confidence! I like the way you think, Chip!
Go Braves!
Houston, YOU have a problem, it's Los Atlanta Bravos, they're coming for you.
Hell yes, dream big or stay home.
Valdez’ higher ERA could be attributed to pitching to the DH, when Morton gets an easy out with pitchers batting in the NL. I think it’s pretty even when taking that into account.
Charlie has a LOT of experience in that park. Might make it less of a road game for him than many other pitchers.
Does anyone know who Atlanta has picked to be the DH in Houston???
I guess it might be Soler....but then I haven't had a chance to talk to Snit about it yet.
