Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Turkdawg that is an awesome pic! I was born in Atlanta, Ga Baptist , raised in Decatur, grew up Tech fan as older brother went there and lots of Decatur guys played for Tech under Bobby Dodd. Tried that place for one qtr, just wasn't for me, like going to high school and back every day. Ended up in Athens and loved my years at UGA. Lived in B'ham during 60's and went to many Bama games as most neighbors were "Roll Tiders". Moved back to Atlanta and then ended up in Cummîng. Have now been in beautiful Rabun County past 20 years and love it here. Clayton is huge Dawg town, seems as every vehicle has "G" somewhere on it. Go Dawgs!!
Born and raised in Decatur, but a Cobb Countian since 1990. Attended Towers High School early-to-mid 70s. Jimmy Poulos and Devonte Wyatt are the only two notable D1 players from Towers that I can recall, but we know where they ended up 😁
I grew up in Whitesburg, we probably know each other.... Where is your family farm?
Yeah Whitesburg PD didn't play around back in the day, I'm not too sure about them now. I grew up there and use to run from them on my dirt bike, kind of like "The Dukes of Hazzard"..... lol They would go talk to my parents and we'd just do it all over again...
Bud was a good man!!!!
Yes sir. He is
@raykunzer36 Love Rabun County. Lived in Lakemont, Ga from 2012-2017. Right down the road from Tiger, Ga. Home of former Dawg Charlie Woerner.
I haven't seen him in years
@raykunzer36 Hi, my uncle Ed was one of those Decatur guys who went to Tech to play for Bobby Dodd. He hated it; said football was supposed to be fun. But back then freshman couldn’t play so it felt like a job. He ended up transferring to Georgia St. My dad went to Emory and both siblings to Auburn so I’m the only UGA Dawg in the family!
I must be a secret Towers fan, because I love watching Wyatt play and I loved watching Poulos. Two great Georgia Bulldogs there with about a 50 year spread. (Put your hat on, Devonte!)
Nor have I. But he’s doing OK. Used to spend summers at his old grocery store and riding back roads in his suped up VWs with my cousin Wally.
Born in Macon Georgia. Grew up in Lizella Georgia. My job has got me living in Tobaccoville North Carolina. WarDawg
I was born at Piedmont Hospital on Peachtree St. which was the only one in the area at the time near College Park where my parents lived.
Raised in College Park in 2 different homes that would be under airport runways now. Went to North Clayton for a short time and "was sent" to Woodward Academy in the early 70's. Moved to Jonesboro after I graduated in '77 and did my 7 year college stint, eventually ending up at UGA and getting the "sheep skin" in '84.
After that, Morrow, Peachtree City, East Cobb, Alpharetta and Roswell. Finally left the burbs in 2004 and headed to the Mountains.....of Georgia.
Hiawassee for the last 17 years and not looking back. 😉
Born in Macon, live currently in Rome, Georgia, of course. 3rd generation of UGA with 4th (my son) having recently graduated. Rome strangely became a hotbed of Crimson Tide fans in 2008. Will be glad to see them change out their flags as Kirby keeps building the juggernaut! Rome has a strong UGA presence despite the Bama infiltration.
Whoa! talkin about a flash back. Spent all my young summers on Lake Rabun. Lakemont was for Alley's.. Many a great memory of weekend nights at Halls boat house and buck dancing in Mountain City.
