Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

What superstitions do you have?

We all have them. Mine is NOT talking about what might happen in the next couple of months. To me, talking about the future can make it not happen. Kind of like when it might snow; I never talk about it or it won't happen.
What do y'all have? The same shirt/jersey you wear to every game? Drinking the same drinks every game? What else?

I wear the same shirt every Saturday. That’s about it. I know it’s all BS though.
I went to the Arkansas game and couldn't make up my mind which "lucky" shirt to wear, so I wore both...my Rose Bowl shirt and the 2017 SEC Champions shirt.
Man, it was hot that day!
Question is do you wash it in between? Inquiring minds want to know.
My superstition is I have to have my UGA flag out and flying by 5 a.m. (CST) on Game Day
I'm with Kasey. I wear the same shirt every Saturday, which I bought before the 2017 season.
And yes, dawgnms, I do wash it every week!! Oh, and I do enjoy my victory gin and tonic after every win. Been doing that a lot this year!!
Go Dawgs!
Wait. I forgot. I have the flag out every Saturday and text the same guys with GO DAWGS!!! (all caps with 3 exclamation points) right before the game starts.
No brown M&Ms
Great question. I had to think a while to see if I had any.
One thing that occurs to me is that I try never to step on the dividing lines on sidewalks. I think it must come from all my years of playing/coaching baseball and being conditioned never to step on the foul lines.
I have no idea if that's somewhat common or if it's totally bizarre.
I know, right? and have you seen the jalepeno flavored M & Ms? Ugh.......
Go Dawgs!
Very common, you know the old saw "step on a crack, break your mother's back"!
Go Dawgs!
I believe there might be some OCP there!
Pretty sure you're right. When I'm watching out for cracks, I sometimes count my steps as well... 🤔
All of this brings to mind one of the world's greatest detectives - Adiran Monk.
didn’t expect a Robocop reference in this thread
I am not sure if it is considered to be superstitious?, but I always, always try to downplay internal team (and fan supported) conflicts, and then really praise, and REALLY support any kind of team (and fan) unity. That is about the only thing I get kind of weird about.
GO DAWGS!!!
I have the concrete Bulldawg statue facing towards Indianapolis. Some other game day gear out, but to be honest, Kirby Smart has exposed superstitons as a basis for excuses. OMG down here in IHB these alumni are in freaking hiding. "He called us beoitches and undisciplined" oops except for Brenton Cox we are.
