I catch some before work in the morning sometimes. Neil Everette is everything bad about the profession.
Braves start the second half tonight against the hapless LA Angels!
Charlie Morton v. Shohei Ohtani ! Should be a great matchup—can’t wait to watch Ohtani pitch! Too bad Trout is on the IL…..
Go Braves!
the Angels aren't exactly hapless when the Big O is pitching. Certainly helps to have no trout in the pond.
@BEACHDAWG I still cannot even begin to wrap my head around the fact that the Braves TV and radio announcer Skip Carey has now been gone since even three years BEFORE we all lost Larry Munson too!! Now those are two wonderful memories that I have while growing up as a kid in Georgia, as a fan of both the Braves and the DAWGS!!
GO BRAVES!!!
GO DAWGS!!!
Braves just smoked Ohtani for six runs in the bottom of the seventh to break a 0-0 tie!
Final score 8-1! Now only 1.5 games back of the Mets who lost today!
Kyle Wright to pitch tomorrow with Ian Anderson on Sunday!
Go Braves!
WOW!!!!
GO BRAVES!!!
Well, I stand corrected. They weren't hapless for 6 innings. As we quite being homerless, they began becoming hapless.
Braves now just a half game back of the Mets who lost yesterday!
We now have the third best record in the NL and about to move into second behind the Dodgers! Twenty games over .500!
And we were 10.5 games back the first week of June, three under .500!
Just wow! Great to be a Braves fan!
I'm left wondering if, given Anderson's poor performance today. AA is more likely to go after a starter at the trade deadline. He's been ok, but a bit shaky for my glass half-empty way of looking at things. We need every win we can get in the remaining games.
Soroka may be back late August. If there’s a move I wouldn’t expect anything major.
That could help but I don't really expect him back until 2023 - if ever.
Have to agree about Anderson. Has really been shaky all year (inconsistent) which is a real shame since he pitched so well last year.
AA seems to be a good problem fixer. Maybe he'll come up with another great idea.
Well, again, we are now 1.5 game behind those "lousy, stinkin' Mets" cause they won last night and we didn't.
Max Fried is starting tonight against the Phillies so maybe we can put the hurt on!
Let's go, Braves!
The good news is we have a lot of games left with them - numerous chances to gain ground on them. Hated that we had a chance to stay 1/2 game behind, but couldn't win it.
