Minimum number of Four and Five star players to win it all

Last year BA had a discussion and said over the last ten years only 1 team had less than 55 four and five star players and won a Natty. What was the exact phrasing if anyone remembers.

Maybe you mean only 1 team has had at least 55 4 and 5 star players and NOT won a title.
    Either way I'd need proof.
There is no magic formula, but it's clear only top recruiting teams have won titles this century.

What definition of "top" recruiting teams are you using? Top 5? Top 10?

    Top 5.
Name the last championship won by a program that didn't have multiple top 5 classes in the 5 years leading to their title.
Auburn maybe, but Cam was a transcendent talent.
