I think Stoops has peaked at Kentucky. He's done a hell of a job building that program, and it's something he can take pride in for the rest of his life. However, I just don't see him being able to get the overall talent needed to push for SEC championships much less national championships. If he does leave, I hope it's outside the SEC
Agree completely.
Which is why I believe he is such a great coach. How in the world did he do this at Kentucky? But like you said, where else can he go from here?
I think he stays until the right job at the right price comes up and it for sure is not Nebraska. aTm probably the best job that will open up in the SEC within the next two seasons.
I know he was mad he didn’t get more consideration for the Florida State job. Nebraska should be contacting his agent immediately.
Silly season is just starting so we we will see who goes where.
Nebraska is a step down from Kentucky at this point, so they better be prepared to offer Saban money to get any good coach
Good fits for Stoops - other than A&M how bout the Barn ?
Good point…Auburn is such a difficult place to survive.
Auburn is a bad job, but aTm is quickly becoming a bad job for the same reason
If Stoops goes to a big time program y’all think he can recruit with the big boys? He would be expected to but he strikes me as a football only type guy without much personality…but what do I know.
You don’t have Kentucky playing that well for that long without being a half decent recruiter.
He would never go to the Barn without major reassurances he’s running the show.
NIL actually benefits coaches like that way more if they have strong institutional backing and boosters with deep pockets.
This is a good call. Hadn’t thought about that but surely it does. Good for him. In that case he might just wait for Ohio State to open up.
lmao who is downvoting my posts saying Stoops is a good coach?
They got Tex, Kasey, and me. As you all know I don't care about DVs but what was so objectionable about those posts? I'm just interested in understanding why now
You cannot win without a QB. Napier does not have one.
