The O has slowed down a bit, but they faced some pretty good pitching in SF and in Seattle - got the other teams' better hurlers. Maybe being back home will help some.
Great Insight!
I am not trying to throw fuel on the fire, but we have dropped 8 points in the QAB column and yes that is concerning! Starters and middle relief are tops in the NL, we need a closer who closes!! $16MM is a lot for blown saves!
It is fixable!
Go Braves!
Yes and his name is Iglesias
Braves keeping pace with those “lousy, stinking Mets!”
Scored five in the bottom of the eighth to win 7-2!!
Go Braves!
Breaking news:
Braves up 4-0 in the bottom of the fourth!
Now back to your regular scheduled football game ……
Keeping pace!
One more against the Phillies then three against the hapless Nats!
I like our chances!
Go Braves! Hate on the “lousy, stinking Mets”!
once again, baseball has the oddest/dumbest stats of any sport.
Very important to record the player who has walked the most times in the 1st inning in a nine inning game.
LOL
YES!!!
Thank you, Mets!
we keep hanging on by our finger nails. Our bullpen is driving me nuts, though.
Not getting needed production from 3 and 4 hitters in lineup. They gonna have to crank it up if Braves are gonna go very far in playoffs.
As for bullpen the sunner Jansen and Iglesias are flipped the better off we will be.
Yeah, the 3-4 guys are struggling. Don't know what Olson is hitting but he has been underwhelming. His OPS is just about at the league average. Freddie Freeman he isn't. Not by a long shot.
Missing Freddie Freeman there. Olson is good, but he’s not the hitter Freeman is.
Yeah, Olson was never going to hit for average like Freddie. But Olson is below all his career averages this season, besides HRs. I think that’s the main reason he was signed, the long ball. In that area he is better than Freddie. But that’s it.
Man it is so very tough to love these teams from Georgia, and hope that it somehow all works out. They are playing their collective tails off, and it sometimes still does not get to the "W". Makes an appreciation (for me) of just how difficult, precious and rare that last year's 2021 World Series Championship was to get after waiting for it since the 1995 season. GO BRAVES!!!
The problem is that type of hitter is susceptible to great pitching, which he may see more of in the playoffs. I suppose it may not matter, but if I were a Braves fan I’d be concerned.
I agree. Heck, he is susceptible, at least right now. to less than great pitching. When he's facing DeGrom et all, must about any hitter will struggle, including him.
