Dawgs show what can happen when you ‘never stop believing’
“Legendary.”

Bill, yours is the best article about the game I've seen.
Please never stop doing this.
Go, Dawgs!
"The extremely inconsistent Pac-12 officiating crew, which apparently never has heard of an uncatchable ball and doesn’t know offensive holding when it sees it."
I agree. The OS O-line got away with a lot of holding and that had an impact on the pass rush.
Nice article!
Perhaps an"Act of God" seconds before the New Year?
Although a certain former Georgia Football announcer and a newly arrived DGD named "Frankie" might have some input. Go DAWGS!
Extremely complete, Bill. I would only add how impressed I was with Kendall Milton the limited number of times he was carrying the rock. He should (if he remains healthy) be the major offensive plus we expected prior to his arrival at UGA for the next game and next season.
Hope y'all post the link for Jake Camarda's amazing punt, yesterday.
Thanks Bill for another great article. I do have a pressing question that has kept me awake for the past 2 nights: Did we win that game in 2022 or 2023? Go Dawgs and Happy New Year!!!
Those same PAC-12 officials failed to notice Ohio State had 12 players on the field for the fake punt. That would have been a huge turning point in the game if Kirby hadn’t called the timeout. We would have likely lost the game and reality is it should have been a 5 yard penalty AND we should not have had to use a critical timeout. The good news is it didn’t matter……42-41. Go Dawgs!!!
What an awesome article, Bill. Thorough, balanced, and insightful, as always. Your game summaries are consistently my favorite posts on DN, and always give me something to think about for the next game... the week can't go fast enough!!!
BubbaBill Well, the game ended in 2023, so officially that's when Georgia won it.
Someone elsewhere said it's not a penalty until the ball is snapped. I think that's incorrect because in one of the games I saw in the last few days the 12 players on the field penalty was called; the announcers said it is called on the offense when the 12 players are "set."
I'm no rules expert.
In any case how can they miss 12 players?
We won, but officiating errors matter. If there are rules to the game the rules should be consistently and reliably enforced. Anything else encourages things we don't need or want in the game.
Go, Dawgs!
Plus the PAC 12 official didn't call no holding calls on Ohio State at all...
Great article as usual Bill !! OK I shamefully confess I had about given up, though there remained a tiny flickering fire burning within me. Well one of my fellow Dawgs fans in particular ( there were others) @BigDawg61 kept fanning that little flame by saying Don’t Give Up Brother and It ain’t over yet, etc. etc. So he and some others Kept me Believing ( I’m not one normally to give up on our Dawgs) and Then things started happening that swung the big Mo in the Dawgs direction !! You could even see it on the OSU players faces !! Then that missed FG by that poor OSU Kicker ( I’ve got compassion for him cause I’ve seen our hearts broken like that before). And is surreal as it was/is Dawgs Win !! I could almost hear Larry Munson breaking a chair, a steel chair, in Heaven !! Go Dawgs !!
Oh meant to add, MY lesson learned, NEVER Give Up on our Dawgs !! Go Dawgs !!
