Great 2 years with SB at QB but he needs to get the chip off of his shoulder and grow up! Life after football can be humbling! Just saying!

Kirby always refers to them as kids. I think he knows better than any of us.

Saturday could have been better. He's right!

I just felt sorry watching the parade on TV and the young lady whose job it was at WSB to get a few words from some of the players kept saying things., "Like OH my gosh, I see Stetson Bennet coming, I 'll try to get a few words with him and get his opinion on the pardade", etc, etc, and then she yells out Stetson!, Stetson! , and all we hear on TV is something like "are you freaking kidding me, unbelieveable!" : Now whether that was directed towards her, I can't say for sure, but if so, it was a bad look. She covered for him and said, I guess he couldn't hear me, rather dejectedly. Now perhaps he didn't hear her. But I felt embarrassed for the young lady.

SB just has in his mind for some reason that all the press is against him. It's just not so. Especially the locals which is what you had on Saturday. Now Kirby did take a shot at David Pollack that he doubted the team and that's calling out one person who doubted. But to take pot shots at the local media that has done nothing but sing your praises is uncalled for. Just smile and say, "We did it to the crowd, I'm so proud of my teamates and our coaches and of you fans who cheered us on! THe crowd would have went nutts. BUt no! We got something about , "It ain't the x's and o's it's about the Jimmies and Joes. LOL!

Saturday will fade in memorry and what we'll be left with will be his accomplishments on the field. You don't have to be a statesman to be good at ball, but you do appreciate the attempts.

I watched the parade on TV. SB4 chatted with fans, signed autographs, waved. There was a part of the thing when he and Van Pran were chatting and laughing with each other (going past Myers). He also spent some time singing to himself.

He took a lot of grief over the years. One example: I just rewatched the 2021 USC game, Sean McDonough flat out said the Dawgs were better with JT than they were with him. He threw a bad pick and McDonough repeated himself. JT threw a bad pick later in the game, with no comment from the announcer.

I don't remember exactly, I was too dazed, but, it might have been Rece Davis after the 1st Natty who commented that SB loved UGa more than UGa loved him.

Shapiro is another of those people who have opinions that they believe mean more than the "common" man. Bless his heart.

"Probably could handle better but I imagine SBIV (largely because of writers like MG) has a bad taste in his mouth."

@doubledawg1990 Seriously? What did MG say that was not the truth?? Stetson was HORRIBLE when he first started. NO ONE had confidence in him. He was an interception waiting to happen. And then...he changed. Stetson changed. He got BETTER. MG reported on the GOOD and THE BAD. Why is that so hard for people to understand? MG is not a homer. He gets paid to be an unbiased reporter. If you want to be cuddled and hugged, listen to BA, he gets paid to be a homer. Geez, Louise!

Can we just enjoy the back to back championships with Stetson at quarterback. SBIV is still so misunderstood and underappreciated. He wasn't the most talented but he is a winner with a chip on his shoulder mentality. Almost every coach wished their players had those characteristics. I would not be surprise if it translates into a respectable pro career for him. Go Dawgs!!

So Bennett hates the media. Who cares. He thanked the fans already.

Stetson goes out as a 2x MVP Champion. Pure winner. 100% Dawg.

People need to let the small stuff go.
