Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

AJC can't stop chasing the ambulance...

It doesn’t matter if there were 10,000 police officers there working the scene and the only person the program could send was deaf, blind, and mute… you still send the guy! Because when someone in your family is hurt, you show up. Even if there’s literally nothing you can do to help, you still show up.
I hate the lying that y'all keep doing. I have no issue with him showing up to be there for the players if they called him. The issue is inserting himself into the investigation before it was even known to the public. He had no reason to involve himself with the responding officers and chief of police
You should hold your friends and family and yourself to a higher standard. True friends and family show up when there’s trouble. They don’t shrug their shoulders and assume that they ‘probably couldn’t help anyways’ to justify their absence.
Can you defend your positions without resorting to aphorisms
edit: I've also said at least a dozen times at this point that he could go be there for the players if he wanted. Doesn't mean he gets to go interact with cops doing an initial investigation
Mods, perhaps time to close this thread? It has gotten a bit over heated. Lots of name calling and casting of personal aspersions… 🤷🏻♂️
I hear you lying when you say “inserting himself” and “interrogating the officers”… he just spoke with everyone he could. Cops, players, staff, everyone. If the cops come back and say that he planted evidence or started rewriting the traffic report, you’ll have a point. But you’re lying about what the guy did.
A little late given the whole thread was about casting aspersions on Gantt and the program?
Well, it was about criticizing the AJC. You just can't get anything right.
You literally described it that way. Why does he need to talk to the cops at all? I haven't lied about a single thing, and you'll be unable to point to anything to suggest otherwise
Another lie? Because I didn’t say anyone was interrogated or inserted into anything. You did. I said he showed up and talked to as many people as he could. And I gave you a perfectly reasonable and ethical reason for doing it: to find out if there was anything he could do to help. You and AJC have adopted the leap that UGA sent someone to manipulate the police to help UGA.
Two dead kids and you still assume people are acting in bad faith.
You’re arguing semantics. “I didn’t literally say that just described it that way” come on now. Also never said he went there to manipulate police and neither did the AJC. Guess liars can’t help themselves. He could have had only good intentions, but still doesn’t excuse his actions even if that is the case. It gives the appearance of impropriety given the massive conflict of interest. No reason to get involved with the police at that stage. Just let them do their work
No, I’m saying that you literally said he was “interrogating officers” and “inserting himself in the investigation”. Those are direct quotes from you.
I am 100% taking issue with your claim that there’s even an appearance of impropriety because your description of his actions is false and you are obtusely claiming there’s no ethical explanation when many have have been give to you.
Even now, you don’t know if there’s a good reason for Gantt to talk to cops or not. You’re assuming there isn’t one, but you don’t know. Tell me.. How forthcoming are a bunch of young black men with the cops? Do you think a trusted face there could help the cops fast forward their investigation? Maybe? It’s a non-malicious explanation that you’ve missed because you’re so committed to this other narrative.
As I said, ambulance chasing has a very specific meaning and has nothing to do with what newspapers or other media do:
am·bu·lance chas·er
/ˈambyələns ˈCHāsər/
noun
derogatory•North American
noun: ambulance chaser; plural noun: ambulance chasers
a lawyer who specializes in bringing cases seeking damages for personal injury.
