I guess, right now, it's just more fun, for OSU Fans, Players and Media...to play ",pretend like"...like they used to do when they were kids. But, that only works for people with imaginations...which means..., OSU's defensive coaches are SOL.
He had zero receptions from 10:56 remaining in the 2nd quarter until his injury at 00:35 remaining in the 3rd quarter. They shut him DOWN after his last TD.
They seemed to be running out of a different defense, after that 4th OSU possession. A "Dime Defense", maybe. Not sure...but, I think they were playing to "stop the run and spy the QB", in the 1st Qtr.
On that 1st TD....OSU's RT (#79) practically tackled UGA's LT (#96) by the shoulder pads...who was breaking through to pressure Stroud. It allowed Stroud to roll right and buy the necessary time for Harrison to get separation from Stark (#24).
Don't tell me, "holding by OSU didn't effect the game".
If we're gonna play "Whataboutism"...What about THAT ( OSU's blatant holding). Could the Dawgs have beaten em worse if the rules were equally applied throughout the game?
There was a lot of money and possible "future, badly-needed, BIG10 respect and hype" riding on that game. Cheating is not out of the question. But, let's don't talk about that, huh?.
"If wishes were horses, beggars would ride." O-H-I-uh O on the kick lost.
Get a life Harrison...no way! Ridiculous. Look at that game...that was Providence.
If,if,if..the most used word by a losing team/player. The tosu coaches and players still can't let it go. Accept the defeat, quit whining like a kid, and take it like the men you claim you are..GoDAWGS!
Actually, the 4th qtr changed the game. The time when all great teams find ways to win if they are losing. While good teams fail to do that, like tosu did. DAWGS also had key injuries, how convienent for tosu fans to only see their side of the story, and not the whole story. They can whine, and cry a new great lake. It still won't change the fact UGA had more points on the scoreboard, when the game clock showed 00:00, after the 4th quarter. The ONLY numbers that matter..GoDAWGS!
Jalen Carter was literally tackled on the play Stroud ran down to our 35 for the game winning attempt. I’ve never seen such a blatant hold not be called.
Boo Freakin' Hoo.
"I played football and someone knocked the snot out of me and made me drop the ball. We would have won if I had better hands and concentration. Or of we held their guys a few more times that still didn't get called because we did it the entire game, including when I got the snot knocked out of me. Oh, and never mind that I stepped out of the end zone before my life flashed before my eyes and that mean player actually hit me. That was not fair."
Get over it. You guys got away with holding every other play. And guess what, it turns out that hitting the opposing player is actually wiithin the rules of the game. In fact, as I understand, the receiver should expect it and try to avoid it. I'm told that is why players wear pads. Go figure.
Mike Tyson would have probably won the fight if Buster Douglas hadn't clocked him with a right hook but guess what he did. And Bullard clocked Harrison. ENOUGH SAID!
Because “the powers that be” wanted to give a Natty to the big 10. I guess it just worked out a little better for the others.
Next up, OSU will implement a "beat georgia" period in practice, where they actually hit each other.
We all...KNOW FOR A FACT...that OSU was blatantly holding throughout the game. We can SEE it.
UGA's not holding....OSU is holding. When the Dawgs hold...they get called for it. When OSU holds...the referee turns his head.
It reminded me of watching a "Wrestling Match" on TV back in the 60's'/70's.
Announcer: "Dusty Rhodes...just put something in his elbow pad...and, the referee didn't see it...he had his head turned arguing with a fan...Dusty Rhodes with the Atomic Elbow...The Mongolian is on the mat. There's the 3 count...Dusty Rhodes wins. The crowd is trying to tell the referee about the elbow pad. But, the match is OVER."
Why isn't THAT a story? Why don't you hear commentary on THAT? Lol...could be fun...and enlightening.
They act like everybody was listening to it on the "radio"...like, back during the "Polling Era". Lol...can't get away with that anymore.
One thing losers are good at is making excuses!
If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his _ss.
Nakobe Dean would have sacked Stroud several more times had he played. But he was hurt. Part of the game. Next man up. That goes for both teams.
That's the problem with their..."Beat Georgia Period", in practice.
They need UGA's defense to pull it off...otherwise, it's no different than last year's "Beat UGA Period". 🤣
Ohio sure did hold the whole game! Someone posted a TikTok video showing it...lasted about two minutes IIRC.
All of those plays would have been brought back.
Plus, with the holdings, a DB as good as Ringo was going to get beat - I don't care HOW GOOD the DB is. If the holding calls allow a play to be extended, a good WR will get open.
Almost NO ONE brings that up.
Marvin, I hope you feel better getting that off your chest. UGA just gave you a taste of what you'll face in the NFL.
Isn't he saying Tosu was dependent on him? Throwing his team under the bus. Is their team culture that bad?
The Dawgs played great in the all important 4th quarter and still could have lost. The poisonous nuts were destroyed in the 4th; still the game was lost because Tosu missed a kick. They were very close.
We need to improve. Against any team as good as Tosu 2022 we might need a higher A game on tap. How did Tosu lose to a Michigan team which lost to TCU?
It's a funny game football.
Go, Dawgs!
whatever helps you sleep at night, cupcake.
Uh, no they don’t. He didn’t do much of anything in the 3rd quarter. We had already shut him down.
