Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

If you are truly interested in the differences between patriotism, nationalism and facism (and not just being snarky), there are many insightful articles available on-line. Here is a link to one I find particularly insightful: https://soapboxie.com/us-politics/Whats-the-Difference-Between-Patriotism-Nationalism-and-Fascism
Seems like that article proves my point. Thank you.
You have a point? I must have missed that part. (The article can not be read and absorbed in 3 minutes—so it is clear you did not read it and are only being snarky.)
I got the gist. His definition of fascist seems to gel with what I see in this country so that’s good enough for me. I’m sure you wanted me to come to your side, but it’s not happening.
Eh he makes a critical error since he doesn’t actually know what a nation is and thus improperly defines nationalism and its inherent risks. In general nationalism is bad since it naturally creates conflict between nations and since many nations don’t have their own state causes some pretty intense asymmetry in those conflicts
@Kasey and @YaleDawg … I am leaving this discussion. I wish I had not stepped into it in the first place—which I did. You both have strong political views/agendas that are outside the main stream and you both appear incapable of rational discussion on such topics. I get that, and it is certainly your right to hold strong beliefs. However, this is a college sports forum. My bad for going there (instinctively suspecting you would likely both arrive on this thread and be triggered—which you are). 😉
If being against fascism makes me outside of the mainstream I will happily reside there.
@Kasey, you are a mod. Don't take this into territory that will get this thread shut down.
Awfully bold to assume your position is the default and that you aren't motivated by your own political agenda. Rather arrogant and a display of hubris if I'm being honest
Wait I thought I was going to Dawgsnation, but ended up at X? So confused..
Finished Season 3....just when I thought it couldn't get any more gross, Season 3 topped the previous 2 seasons. I am not interested in any further seasons. There obviously will be, but it's become repetitive, silly nonsense with the only point being coming up with shocking and creative ways to make people die. I wouldn't recommend the series. It was interesting at the beginning, but it just turned into mindless violence and gore. I kinda' wish I hadn't wasted the time watching this.
thanks for saving me the time and effort to watch it.
You should watch friends from college on Netflix as a palate cleanser.
I'll give it a try. Thanks.
