Really enjoyed Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Justified is my favorite of all time. The sequel left me unsatisfied. Hell on Wheels kept me going pretty good there.
Did not know that. I never would have made the connection. Such different shows.
Breaking Bad was another that I kept waiting for something to happen. I actually watched the whole series, but I was underwhelmed. I don't like rooting for the bad guys.
Did your opinion change any after the Lilly of the valley flower pot episode ?
I had wild ducks take nest in my neighborhood while caring for aging parents. Had chest pains too. Got concerned that I was relating to Tony a little too much but couldn’t heap but like the guy from then on.
Gotcha, I just finished watching The Lincoln Lawyer. It’s pretty good if you like that type of show.
I appreciate your take on that. I am also not able to dissociate my "spidey sense" of realizing a show is selling us the idea that the truly evil characters they created are worthy to be admired by us the audience to the point of us all rooting for them to "win" by getting away from the penalty of their evil.
what about after he killed the guy on Meadow’s college tour?
If you've ever liked any of Carl Hiaasen's books then you have to give Bad Monkay a look. Currently looking forward to the release of Taylor Sheridan's Landman. Billy Bob can do no wrong in my book.
Well, I just started re-watching All Creatures Great and Small anticipating the new episodes starting up in January. I wanted to like The Diplomat but got tired of the overdone "Americans don't know how to behave in polite company" theme and the constant F bombs.
I hear you, though in fairness, Americans in general are pretty ignorant of other cultures and I have been embarrassed in several countries by the behaviors of fellow citizens. When you look at the political appointments of US ambassadors after elections, it's not surprising how the world sees us in that regard.
Sons Of Anarchy is one I am going to re watch also……
IMy free trial subscription ran out before I got that far
I forgot about that one. It hooked me from episode 1. Will have to put that on my list as well.
My wife picked Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker. We both thought it was very good. Interesting. An bit of history I didn't know anything about. High production values.
It's my most recent mini series.
Friday Night Lights is a good football series.
Bosch is very good. It's true to the books, but the books are much more about what's going on inside his skin.
Band of Brothers is one of the best ever. It introduced me to WW2 in a way new to me. It is very graphic, and beyond violent, but also a beautiful series.
I'm forever looking for new stuff to watch. So much is just garbage. Plus, there are shows many people like, but I'm not one of the many.
Go, Dawgs!
