Kirby needs to get this kid!! Hate to say at all costs, but this would be a "plant the flag" moment in Gwinnett County.
Agreed! While the hype is always something you have to dig under, @JeffSentell 's research really convinces me this is the RIGHT kind of "hire" (that's what they are these days, right?) for CKS et al to (re)build a '21/22-type defense. There HAS to be a focal point (like Nakobe or Roquan) to anchor and lead the future defenses. This is clearly a high-return type of investment.
That said, if it's just about the money, then you go back to questioning… however, the story of how he treats his teammates kinda erases that concern for me. Hope he becomes a Dawg!
Paying kids 6-7 figure salaries before they even play a down in college football. Wonder how some coaches feel knowing the player they're trying to develop makes more money than they do?
Cool, he is from Grayson so he will not be going to UGA!
Man, don't say that…somebody needs to ask Pappoe if he wishes he'd come to Athens…
Predicting Grayson to win state is no bold prediction. Grayson is the Ohio State of GA high schools.
Back in the good old days (before NIL) this was a slam dunk UGA recruitment. Now it might be 75/25 against.
Atkinson had an NIL deal with Nike while in 10th grade? Even HS isn't amateur sports anymore.
Agreed, agreed, agreed…..BUT, is Tyler a "GEORGIA GUY"…..can he surrender the 5 star, HS Glory Days Machismo BS and commit to The G with heart and soul, placing TEAM success above personal stats???? If he can, Georgia is the best place to develop into a NFL 1st rounder……hope he realizes this fact.
if it’s about the $ then he won’t be here.
If he wants to take a discount and count on development here leading to a first round NFL slot, he should come here.
