That's assuming all those sports are fully funded. Many schools will not be, it will be interesting to see how that all play out.
I thought Gunner was criticized for not thinking enough?
I was going to mention this kid's performance, from the same track meet as Williams but didn't. Now that he's been offered by UGA, well….
It's funny we've gone full circle with your new photo
my 401k doesn’t say thank you
Sorry about the distance from the site!
With little to talk about and frustration at a all time level with coaches staying, there is not much joy in participation, but I do appreciate this board!
To Yale's comment about, "not reading defenses", hate it if you must, but the QB room needs a coaching upgrade, from an administrator to a teacher! Just another reason for me to complain about something so obvious, I can only hope!
Go Dawgs!
I would like to know if Gunner's "inability to read defenses" is normal for a guy with 2 starts and tons of 2nd team reps or if Yale sees him just a slow-witted country bumkin with a learning disability. If the former, what is added by continually mentioning it? It will be fixed by time/practice. If the latter, Puglisi will undoubtedly pass him by.
it’s not normal for an early enrollee in his 4th year, no. Mix of coaching and him just not picking up stuff like that naturally
Then, do you see Puglisi passing him by?
no because we don’t develop QBs either
Just curious to your thoughts on it, that being the case that we struggle to develop QBs properly, what do you think is the cause and how could we improve?
Again just curious, as I don’t feel I have enough knowledge on it to have a strong opinion about this.
the only thing harder than evaluating a QB is coaching a QB. There aren’t a ton of good QB coaches out there. Game has also clearly passed Bobo by. The best QB coaches get snatched by the nfl anyway.
That makes sense, and this likely makes it much tougher to attract the top guys at the position even when we do evaluate QB recruits properly.
I’m pretty sure that if I were a top HS QB with NFL aspirations, my future development would be key for me in my recruitment. Trust and confidence in my QB coach would be at the top of my list.
just don’t have the right coaches or system in place for it. Only time I’ve seen a QB improve with reading defenses and getting into the right check at the line was Stetson between 21 and 22. That was with Monken and Faulkner so yeah
you hate Kirby?? He literally just said he has the best coaching staff in the country yesterday. But ol Yale can do better. Maybe you should apply for the job
