We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

still waiting!!
Don't know what's got into the Braves tonight, but they have 4 HR's in the first 4 innings and Bryce Elder is throwing a shutout. Acuna has 2 dingers after having a tight back from his weightlifting. I guess his S&C is ok.
Good comeback for the Braves and an outstanding performance by Strider - after - giving up a 3-run homer in the first inning. But - sigh - yet another 1-run loss. Limping towards the all-star break.
This has been such a frustrating season. I absolutely love my Braves, but this is a tough one to watch. Seems that we are squandering a lot of talent. Still, I watch and will chop on. GO BRAVES!
Hate to say it, but these Braves remind me of the pre-Bobby Cox days.
Days when you could go the park late, get an OF seat and move up to behind the plate seating in the 2nd or 3rd inning.
We used to get free tickets through my mom's work back in the late 80's when the team was terrible and still in Fulton Co Stadium. Right behind the dugout. Still had a blast. We used to smuggle in McDonald's cheeseburgers so we didn't have to pay stadium prices. Great memories with my dad and brother.
Back then they didnt announce the attendance as a number.
Was easier just to mention who was there that day by name.
Pretty much lol. At least I got to see Dale Murphy play!
Similar experiences. Mickey Mantle was my Dad's hero. Dale Murphy was mine.
We would get up there a few times a year. Always seemed like Murph homered. And the Braves would lose.
During this time I was coaching at SUWG and we got the opportunity to go sell beer at Fulton Co. Stadium to raise $ for our budgets. We got so good at it, one year we went to all 82 home games and a World Series. Ended up rounding up non-athlete students to help out - they got a % of what we made and community service hours. Made a ton of $ - more than the school actually put in our budget.
It is so very TOUGH loving the Atlanta Braves!!!! They just tug the life right out of me, and my heart too, every single freaking day!!! GO BRAVES!!!
GO BRAVES!!!
Nice win by the Bravos last night; F
I think I feel a pulse, but I'm going to wait for professionals to get here. Go Braves!
Early 90 s 92,93 my son played high school baseball. HS booster clubs manned booths behind home plate out in the concourse. Seems like we had 2 dates per season. Kids made pizza, sold popcorn/peanuts and adults sold beer. They always put me in Imported beer booth. I couldn't believe the amount of dollars that went in tip jar. Very productive nights for the booster club.
