BTW @JeffSentell the title in huge font states 4* flip, but then right below it in small font it states “3-star Cartersville HS wide receiver prospect Brady Marchese”

If Dawgn8n is looking to hire an editor, give me a call bro…I have good references, ask Connor,. As your editor I would say go with the 247Comp ranking and have the article reference 4* in both sentences, you’re welcome!

You know his decision was based on the quarterback flip but we've done pretty well placing receivers in the NFL. I'm guessing he had no confidence in his skills.

Sure, I'll trade the beauty of the University of Georgia campus during the Fall for the frozen wasteland of michigan. I'm sure getting tackled there feels so much better than in the south. What a dumb decision.

I get a fast/quick slot type receiver from the portal to replace Branch. We have some young talented WR's but most all are of the lanky type. The smaller quick guys seem to be able to beat man coverage between the hashes.

Follow the money! Suspect he got a better NIL deal from Michigan. Oracle founder Larry Ellison spent big money last year to help them flip Underwood from LSU, and I would assume he is continuing to spend this year.

I wonder if a money play might have also happened with Jared Curtis. He had his "public" signing ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, but then On3 leaked his "decision" and then he denied it and his agent feigned to know nothing about his decision when DawgNation contacted him. Yeah right! Curtis posted later Tuesday confirming the flip and communicating that his signing would be private. If nothing else, I am glad we were spared one of those dramatic signing ceremonies with 2 hats, pulling off jacket to reveal the flip, etc.

I just have to wonder if the "Curtis Camp" leaked the flip story on purpose hoping that Kirby and UGA would immediately contact him to sweeten his NIL deal. Don't think for a minute that playing "playing both sides against the middle" doesn't happen in current recruiting from high school and through portal. My impression is that Kirby is not playing that game. Would love to really know if that happened here and if Kirby told agent and Curtis family to pound sand!

So, you are finishing up at high school and want to have the greatest opportunity to play Pro. The better your performance the better the odds at going pro. The more playing time the better the opportunity to get a look from the Pros. So you want to go to a school where you will get the most playing time. You are looking at several teams and at your position team #1 has 5 players, team#2 has 3 players and team #3 has 6 players. Which one would give you the greatest opportunity to get playing time with all other factors being equal? For a lot of guys playing college football their decision is based upon which team gives them the greatest opportunity and not necessarily the "brand." This is one approach that may appeal to a lot of guys. That is probably the reason you have guys in the process of recruiting who switch around as well guys using the portal to hopefully get more playing time.
