25-10. I can't remember a start like this.
Probably so…….The guys on the local Atlanta radio morning show said that the last time the Braves started the season 25-10 was in the 1890’s as the Beaneaters!
Helluva start!
The 1890's. Wow. The mits, the ball parks, the ball. Ten years before the start of the "modern era". What a different game baseball was back then.
Boston won a lot of pennants back then,
I fear Sean Murphy is capable of single handedly lowering testosterone levels in the clubhouse and sending the Bravos back to mediocrity.
From what I gather last night, Sean lost two challenges on the second batter of the game. First AB…inning ending double play. The other two ABs…strikeouts. 0 for 1 throwing runners out stealing.
Just pay him to play with his cats in his mansion.
Might it be a mite early to pass judgement?
It is. The double play he hit into was hit very hard. The throw he had to second wasn't that bad.
The Braves were hitting 100mph bullets all over the yard the first three innings last night. Right at people over and over. Was a bad luck game it happens.
They easily could've had 5 or 6 runs early and cruised to another win.
Now using both the challenges up the first two batters. Yes Im sure someone spoke to Murphy about that. That was not good at all.
I mean he's a career .228 hitter and gets paid like he's a top of the league catcher. Hit .199 last year. Two years in a row he's missed the first month or two with a sore belly. He's the big body kid that peaked at 16. If Murphy takes even one at bat away from Drake Baldwin that's a travesty.
He's clearly the backup and a pinch hitter. Weiss, I think, will give Baldwin plenty of time off from catching and use him as a DH. Baldwin is a hitting machine.
107 mph double play ball. Those more often than not rip through an infield.
Baldwin is a hall of Famer if he stays healthy.
Def didn’t know he smoked it like that. But we all know if Murph hits over .230 he’s having a great year.
