Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
Kirby Smart’s job is to sign as many players as he can that will help UGA succeed on the field, will perform in the classroom, and will represent the University and their families well. Period. If those kids are all in Georgia, that’s where he’ll focus. If they’re in other states, that’s where he’s going. If he’s doing… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
Proximity will matter... There is a huge difference between 7 hours (not a day trip, and frankly wouldn't do it for a regular weekend that often if you had to choose), and 2 hours (could conceivably go and come back same day, but definitely for a weekend, or 2+ day stretch). Not to mention the ability for a mom to meet you… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
Few sprinkles of clarity for this thread: Do feel that Braun to Florida was basically on timing. It wasn't because of a CML eval. Just think that family didn't want to reintroduce another recruiting relationship in the 11th hour. Jones and Georgia seems to still be in good shape. Better than some of you good people seem to… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
Is it just me or do the Bru McCoy/Chris Steele situations concern anyone else in terms of recruiting California (Milton/Flowe). I don’t pretend to know either of the two but they would both be a long way from home in a place that’s very culturally different from Cali and I think many would get homesick given those… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
It is a very big deal to some of these kids to be able to announce to their friends, family and to their future school's fans where they are going to attend. I've sat next to 11 kids who were announcing the school they would attend. Whether it was Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Rice, Lehigh, Brown or where ever - it was a big… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
I think one thing that has not been taken into consideration yet by us is the NFL CBA will be ending in 2020. In 2021 the new CBA will be out and it is supposed to raise rookie contract payouts and allow for shorter deals so players can cash in earlier on a second contract. If you don't think this is a consideration, then… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
@SquillDawg I agree to an extent. I think it’s unwise for a school to do it, but the Miltons have been proactively reaching out to families of croots. They’re doing their due diligence and I’d imagine soaking it all in. Staff will likely focus exclusively on us during the pitch. If there’s ever a Gold Standard for an RB… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
I don't expect to get all of those mentioned but: Flowe is CU (75%) UGA (25%) battle Jarrett committed on a visit high. When LSU offense is a shambles this year and the Pied Piper is in his ear every practice he may rethink. Burton would be another option at WR Johnson wanted to come to UGA all along but his family wanted… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
I was told Noah Sewell was also in town for an unofficial Friday night for the Ducks beat down of the fighting Mel Tucker's. While I don't think we need to sweat these visits, I will also say don't under estimate Oregon recruiting with Cristobal behind the wheel and the family connection to the Ducks is not insignificant… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
Good question not entirely sure. Right now, imo, we’re just losing head to head. It’s no one’s fault (as much as CTS will be blamed). He doesn’t have much of a player success story to sell right now. LB, OL, DB, RB are starting to recruit themselves. WR and DL we need to see some next level, recent success. TE is being…
