Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Re: COVID-19 Check-in
But that's the thing; not wearing a mask is certainly not a victimless crime. If I have the virus, wearing a mask can prevent the spread to another person. This is where the line, to me at least, gets crossed: at what point do my civil liberties infringe on somebody else? If I'm positive for COVID-19 and don't wear a mask,… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Well my boss has tested positive for Covid-19. First started to feel off on Saturday. Was still working in field as of Tuesday. Wednesday shortness of breath with dry cough, red eyes, temp spiked at nearly 103. They got the temp down. He’s stable right now. They ordered test, positive confirmation. Father of 3, husband,… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Tex, you can't separate "science" from the discussion, because some are using/weaponizing it as an excuse to prevent economic re-engagement. I'm attempting to posit your same sentiment, namely that for every academic study on C-19, one can point to scientific pronouncements that have been miles off the mark. Simply put, I… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Clearly cases are rising...... Is it true......when you factor in all ages.... if someone gets Covid 19.... chances of surviving are 97.5%......give or take a little? But under 50 the odds of surviving are probably closer to 99.9%? No one wants loss of life. No one. Simple question.......is it worth saving a few thousand… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
To answer your question... I don't know if what I said to Yaledawg can be extrapolated to everyone in this thread. I think we want to keep an open mind... in fact it behooves us to do so, because so much of C-19 is evolving. That said, I will continue to review information based on my poly-sci training. In other words, I… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
I suggest that it is likely akin to Florida Deaths by date. They seem to enter data by individual and run way behind so it always appears that deaths are declining. For instance the deaths reported by date on June 9th shows 1 death on the 9th. On the 10th it shows 5 for the 9th. 11th it shows 11 for the 9th, 12th it shows… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
@razorachilles This group did a good job but there are some concerns I have and they pointed out some of them in the paper. There needs to be a RCT on the efficacy of CQ/HCQ in treating COVID-19. No point in administering a drug if it doesn't work. Next points deal specifically with this study. Biggest problem with this… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
That just goes to my point that we don't know enough about the virus to really compare it to anything with any meaningful conclusions to be drawn. I won't assume that the COVID-19 deaths in the month of April will be representative of the average going forward because we don't know that. At best, we can look at the… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
The rumors I previously mentioned are now being confirmed. The virus was being spread in California before they knew what it was. Two deaths are now being confirmed as the earliest Covid-19 deaths in the country by 2+ weeks. Neither of the individuals had traveled to China or other countries. Community spread is the… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Sorry, not a CV-19 report, but just checking in, since this thread is good for that. A friend of mine died tonight, after a long fight with cancer, leaving behind a wife and three kids, ages 16-21. Another friend is currently comforting his 18yo daughter, who just had her leg amputated as she wages her own battle with…
