Are recruiting rankings overrated for corners?

None of the 5 star rated corners by rivals planned out in 2015 or 2016 class.

I think corners are the hardest to grade, and a reason you see 3 stars shine and sometimes 5 stars not so much. There’s a lot that goes into that position. And let’s be honest, no one can judge those hip flexors like @WCDawg. He likes young men with quick hips, if you know what I mean ;)

I will say, @wcdawg was right on Campbell. He may be fast, but his ability to play man to man and turn and run with receivers is still up for debate

He did better this past game I think. Way too early to judge Campbell, he’s nowhere close to a finished product.

Kirby at best got too infatuated with Campbell's measurables.
That seems to be true in general at CB, maybe it helps explain why so many experts get it wrong.

He also mentioned Campbell running with the 1s made him look better than he was. Switching over to Stokes, when Campbell was injured Mizzou game, that lead to Campbell running with the 2s in practice the next week helped show his deficiencies. Agree that I’m surprised it took it coming to that for Kirby to notice. Seems Campbell would’ve been running with the 2s some, to help prep Stokes in his backup role before the Mizzou game.

Kirby is human, he saw the length, speed and athleticism.

Campbell may well end up being a great corner for us, just gonna take some developing. Damien swann was a huge liability until his junior year.

Maybe, I love his potential as a safety though.

Here's my ideal Secondary next year
    SS- Read
    FS- Campbell
    CB- Wilson
    CB- Daniel
    NB- Stokes
    Star- Reece

I'm not on the trash LeCounte train but I think he needs to add size and work on tackling to regain the starting spot.

Imo I think Reese beats out a position changed TC3 for one of the safety spots, maube richie too.

Wilson is 200 lbs so I really hope he sticks at star/nickel. Stokes has made a bunch of plays on the ball this year I'd keep him as a starting corner imo
