We did our mothers day with my mom and family yesterday. My wife echoed those words. Her mom has passed

My mom was a State champion in fencing, decorated in field hockey, loved the great outdoors. Could start a camp fire from scratch starting with a match and twigs. Would cook the family breakfast and dinner with just a grill sitting on rocks. Not afraid of critters like snakes, instead she showed us how to grab them w/o getting bit. She passed too young in 1983. She started a day care at church that I went back and visited years later. Surprised to see her memory honored on a plaque on the wall.

I am fortunate to say my mom is alive, but my wife’s passed away almost ten years ago. Today has been bittersweet, to say the least.
