Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Didn't post it really for any responses just a fact. The fact is Kap and Nike made a public stand and they will have to deal with the consequences good or bad.......and my guess it will be mostly bad......but their right to take that stand
I agree 100%.
It’s not THAT they decided to scrap a shoe design...it’s WHY they did it by claiming the original American flag represents racism. It doesn’t and never has. As a patriotic American I am highly offended by Kap and Nike.
Yes, it matters. Influential people and corporations are trying to rewrite history.
CB's trending toward the good guys......
I don't see Kap and Nike as victims.......st00pid maybe but certainly not victims
I will put myself in the corner facing the wall for 1 hour 😆
@dawgnms I don't think they are actual victims. "Victim of the moment" is an idiom for being short-sighted and not thinking through a situation before taking action. It has already been pointed out they were reactionary.
@pgjackson Kap and Nike don't have the power to change history. You're making mountains out of mole hills. As I've said before no reasonable person thinks the Ross flag is inherently racist meaning the flag wasn't made based on racist ideals. The current backlash comes from the KKK trying to co-opt the Ross flag for themselves. No one is arguing with you about Nike and Kap being reactionary. They didn't want to be associated with the KKK in any form and made a rash decision. I think its safe to assume the vast majority of America doesn't think the Ross flag is racist and had no idea the KKK was using it.
But then you have about half the DNC backup and support the decision...mostly because I guess that are supposed to. That’s what I am talking about. Major corporations, politicians and influencers twisting history and making everything racist.
@pgjackson Can you link me a story where the DNC supported that decision? I can't find anything that says that?
